Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 It isn't that un-common mate, they do do that. Was it the drivers side one by any chance???? Best of luck sorting it. BTW, Tickover down here sell second hand ones and they mail order. http://www.tickover.co.uk Give them a try if you have no luck

xpackken Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 yes will give tickover a try . it is drivers thought if im going to do it i might aswell do both . dont know yet but might lower it a bit while am there. i drove the car back home about 120 miles all good powerfull beast had some fun on the motorway but got her home had a little go of the lsd and heard a small clunk then went back out later to let my mate dan have a go and it snapped on him as he pulled out of a junction . it must have been on it way out .. _________________ recession in us

Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 I have thought of lowering mine as well, but it drives lovley as it is, so not sure. To be honest, I shouldn't think you will need to replace both, but it's your call What's your fuel economy like then mate????
xpackken Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 well it seemed very good on the motorway but i was playing alot . used quite a bit under half a tank in 120 miles is that any good . the only reason i say do both is because i can get two new ones on monday from the local motor factors will they come with bushes and will i need to order new u bolts if so what are they called or are they a universal type .. _________________ deep chunk strawberry cough pics
Jimbob-Squarepants © Posted March 24, 2007 Report Posted March 24, 2007 If you were smoking it a bit, then yeah, they do like a drop when you put your foot down The U-bolts will be rusty, so give them a soak before you remove, but to be honest, they don't cost fortunes, so for extra piece of mind, I think I would fit new ones. As for the bushes, I am not sure if they will come with bushes or not. If I remember rightly, these can be a pain to fit, but if you get Superfles poly bushes, they should be cut in half, which makes fitting them easier. Best of luck mate *edit* BTW, They are called Axle U-bolts mate
