what's the best timing gun to get & where from just for personal use?? i've got an old hand me down one & it has seen better days tbh.

tbh i would risk driving it as if you do get pulled you could explain & the tax will be back dated to the 1st anyway once you get it. but i would NOT leave it parked anywhere without a tax disc just incase the worst happens well done on the MOT

you might get away with bashing it with a nice sized hammer to try & shock it out of place. That's about the only thing without a proper tool for the job & without damaging nowt.
