  2. Haha very good
  3. yeah, ive been to places like that, risk your life climbng up to a car with tools hanging out of all your pockets only to find the bit you want has already gone . good times haha Very different at this place though, no public in the yard, you buy a part at the counter and a forklift will bring the car to the workshop where i take it off for you! I still stink of oil though and depending on how many beers ive had the night before you might only get a grunt, so all is not lost
  4. heres some pics from my work... This is 1 of about 30 rows, 5000 odd cars all together

  6. Read on their Retards Club page that the mag will continue. Has been bought by the people behind Practical Performance Car, which is good i think. I personally really like the mag, prefer it to Classic Ford, just think the photography is much better and the articles seem to flow better.
  7. Vehicle dismantler at one of the biggest scrap yards in the country, 5000 odd cars there, will get pics tomorrow.
  8. Got to agree, ive been a few times for bits for my Capri. Always had what i needed, sensible prices and he seems a top bloke. Highly recomended.
  9. Wow, absolutely stunning. Cant think of a better looking Mk2, gotta love wide 13s under big arches. Colour is gorgeous too, what is it? And with a HPE lump it must go and sound as hard as it looks! Top job mate, cant wait to see it at a few shows
  10. Me too please
  11. Good on ya for giving it a go mate, top job Bit too bright for me, personally but if you like 'em then thats all that matters
  12. Im not old enough to remember, and to be honest i know very little about her/what she did, but my parents, aunties, uncles and everyone i asked in work all hated her.
  13. Looks superb mate Hope you have loads of fun in it!

  16. Emergent Service Worker. whatever that is.
  17. I didnt have any problems bleedin my willwoods with 4 nipples, just bleed the top two I had HiSpecs on another car which only have 1 or 2 nipples, and i fitted the calipers upside down so the nipples were at the bottom, didnt reolise till i went to bleed em
  18. Proper racing indeed! BTCC and its support races is the best circuit racing in the world I reckon Been in front of the telly all afternoon
  19. Hahaha love it!
  20. Love touring cars BTCC starts next week cant, cant wait!
  21. It will be a big shock to your system mate! hopefully in a good way. I have never owned a car as modern/refined/fast as your beemer so cant really compare, but i have owned a few old Fords and driven them every day. I currently use my modded Capri every day, 20 miles each way to work and bombing around in the evenings and weekends. The interior is stripped out, shes got stiff suspension, no radio, the heater just about keeps the screen clear if i keep the window open a bit, 80 odd horsepower 1.6 pinto and a 4 speed box so its not a 'pleasant' place to be. BUT, I get excited every time i drive her which turns every cold, grey, dull morning comute into a special occaision. I wouldnt want to drive anything else. Lotusless does make some good points though, the state of the roads now will slowly destroy an old car if the maintenance isnt kept on top of. You should be carefull where you leave it, i always try and park near a CCTV camera and if i have to leave her somwhere slightly dodgy i will pull off a couple of HT leads or take the rotor arm off the dizzy. At the end of the day what have you got to loose? try it out, modify it to suit your needs, get another daily driver if you have to, get something different all together if you dont like it. Personally i think youll love it
  22. over the moon about this, i was really peed off when i figured out my Capri wasnt quite tax exempt 'cos she was built in Jan 1973. But now its all good Anyone know when the update comes into effect? as i think my tax runs out end of this month or next.
