  1. I know it is wrong, but I quite like that. It is great to see that people still do mad stuff like this, the world is a better place for it. Ken
  2. Hi I am after an offside (drivers side) rear door skin, on indeed complete door for my 1968 Mk2 Cortina. If you have one in great condition let me know. Ken
  3. Not quite my cup of tea as an ownership proposition, but blimey, it is a stunning looking conversion. S
  4. That looks great, do you have more pics to share? S
  5. Nice looking car, and A Plan for me S
  6. If all they want is a picture why don't they simply 'google' it or ask Ford for details from their heritage fleet? S
  7. Bad luck with the crash, but it is only metal and can be fixed. The two of you being ok is the important thing. S
  8. I have ridden the TT course on Mad Sunday and even though I class myself as a fast rider there were some absolute nutters there, mainly Germans! Having said that, the actual competitors are as fast as anything I have ever seen and what I love about the TT is that you can get up close with the riders, try that at Motogp. S

    Car Art....

Do you do the pictures from photographs or need to see the car? S
  11. Lovely looking car, great colour and I love those quarter front bumpers S
  12. Out of interest, what is "silly money" and what is sensible in this context? S
  13. And they look great on it S
  14. What is the problem? I can't see it, looks like the contents of any "real" mans garage. My wife thinks I am secretly trying to build another car given all the spares I seem to have collected in the garage. S
  15. Super looking. When does it go in?
  16. Wow, that made a few pounds!
  17. Good start so far, I think PG is a good presenter for this kind of show. S
  18. So the sun shone this morning as I headed off to the car storage place for the first start of the year. All in all it has been an interesting day of car experiences, firstly the drive across in my modern German sports car was typically ruthless in its execution. Then I opened the garage door to reveal the Lotus Carton and 1600e, Firstly to the LC, it was a lot dirtier than I remember it being when I put it away, but anyway, connected the battery and it started almost immediately. Then over to the 1600e, same routine but not quite the same result, it didn't start. But not to worry, a quick blast of "magic start" and it fired up and ran as sweetly as I remember it. Then to the drive, first the LC, and as always I remain surprised just how brutally savage the car is, both accelerating or braking, but it is a big heavy car lest you forget it. 70 miles or so later and all felt fine so returned to the garage. Next out was the 1600e, and after the LC it felt small and light, quite nimble but with no brakes! No wait, that's just how they work....... About 100 miles or so later and I was back at the garage and the 1600e drove without missing a beat. MOT booked for it next week and I see no reason why that should be a problem. Then back to the daily driver and home. That drive reminded just how effective modern cars are at their task. So, which was my favourite of the day? The 1600e! I smiled more when driving it, more people waved and smiled at me and it was an altogether nicer driving experience. S
  19. Looks great! I am off to see mine tomorrow, hoping they both fire up like yours has. S
  20. Have you checked the engine and gearbox mounts? These could be resonating at the speeds you describe and transmitting through the steering column? S

    Car parts.

Agreed. I have also used them and had no issues. S
  22. They look great, but we really need a picture of them on the car for the full effect S
  23. I watched a great race from Goodwood over the weekend with 1960/70/80 touring cars. Took me right back. S
  24. I run 28 front 32 rear S
