  2. What would the postage be for mainland England . Bubble rap is lighter and more protection ???? . Not sure £25 would cover it
  3. Yes im sure it does . He only bought it this year and payed a lot more . Not sure why he is selling it .
  4. I will be there even if it clashes with cortina day again .
  5. Hopefully the police and vosa will go and watch ??????????
  6. As long as they are legal ie not stolen not a problem .
  7. No dizzy and leads but I will have a old points one you can take . I do have a type e gear box to if you wanted it .
  8. Nearly complete I think . I would like to keep the air filter but I have a K&N . I need the inlet manifold but I've got another you can have . It's in the car so you can hear it run . And take it the same day . Clutch and fly wheel you can have to and I do have a starter but it has a fixing lug broken but still works . It had a new cam belt water pump fuel pump etc , £275 .
  9. I have no problem with a banger boy buying a car for a banger meet . It's been on a open market and anyone can put up the cash and he has and handed it over . It's his to do as he pleases with . I get on with my local banger boys and we help each other out . How ever I would still like vosa to attend with the police to verify the id of these cars being raced . Just a thought .there has be lots of classic fords being stolen , capris transits and escorts . If you was a gang of classic car thieves wouldn't you think it was a open day to steal cortina s because the banger boys would get the blame . I will let you think on that . Cheers buzzard .
  10. I've got a standard 2 ltr in a running car . I will be taking it out very soon . It's standard bore and the bore is still good . Not 205 or unleaded . Northamptonshire
  11. It's 10 years . But it's not a fail. It's a advisory . Garages have to sell with in 3 years of production that's why they have sales .
  12. Wish he did mk3 cortina shells
  13. Yes it's getting scary . I've started sleeping with one eye open
  14. 1600 rs turbo is 130 bhp so some where between 100 bhp and 130 bhp but more torque
  15. A big thanks to Janey . Very pleased with every thing I got .
  16. I like the sound of that . Could be a easy job to . I think but may be wrong the bore is the same on 1100 1300 1600 . I know if you put 1100 Pistons in a 1300 you higher the compression . So ?????? If you put 1600 in a 1300 may be you can lower the compression . Just a thought and might be completely wrong . As said Renault turbo carb would make sense and a escort rs turbo are plenty full and sized for a 1600 so not worlds apart . They have a a/r of 42 cold 38 hot from memory . Just a manifold to make . Just rembered that mini metro 1300 had turbos to . Perfect size for you . Good luck and pics a must .
  17. Well I take that offer . And Ben said did the escort come with the deal lol . Muppet . I will arrange to pick up , when's good for you . It's for Ben's mk5
  18. The plate are when its registered not built . My dad had a 1959 I think 100e but it had a late 60s plate . The had sat on a rotating stand in a show room for lots of years .
  19. At classic ford last year a pair of mk3 cortina wings for £1300 . There were not so many mk3 cortina over in Germany Italy etc because the taunus was better made . So no stock over there . But may be South Africa and Australia .
  20. Might be a p100 just looks the real deal . The buck looks short to but it might just be the photon
  21. It's Australian and I'd would be a import . So properly imported at the time dated to the plates . My taunus was the same .
  22. Looking at it I'd say a mk3 cortina saloon 4 door
