  1. Just thought, has it got wheelarch trims?
  2. Don't spose it's got rear belts has it?
  3. Was creative head, now production manager, at this agency: http://whysurreal.com
  4. Nice! What is it, a stroked 383? Love Mopars, owned this a few years ago: 440 six pack powered
  5. Hi again Bryan, is your mate called Paul? Was just talking to a guy on Retards Club and he put me onto a guy in Blackhall with an estate whose car might have the seat belt brackets on that I need a look at.
  6. Hello all, got a couple of lines of enquiry on these already, just wondered if anyone had a pair kicking about? With the estates having the long rear windows there's nowhere to mount the top pivot of the seatbelt. They run up behind the seats to the roof, and mount the seatbelt top pivot. Need the belts so I can have my wife and daughter in the car at the same time
  7. Thanks Graeme, I'll sort that now.
  8. Anyone in the North East got 1 13" steel with decent tyre for a spare for my Mk2?
  9. Is your mate with the estate from round here as well?
  10. Hi Bryan, yeah it's the ebay car with the very nice interior! Needs some bits and bobs here and there but overall pretty tidy. We're moving in a few weeks to Shildon, the car's at my in laws til then, but once I get it home would be good to meet you
  11. Thanks for the welcomes chaps! Bryan, whereabouts in Durham are you? I live in Bishop Auckland but I work at Rainton Bridge near Houghton le Spring. Like the sound of both of your Escorts - always had a thing for the XR range
  12. Wow, two beautiful cars! I love a shiny underside
  13. Here are some of my old Fords, and my latest purchase! The midnight blue Mk2 was my first car, 1100 pop plus (drums all round!) The green jade 2 door was my second, a 1300 Ghia - wish I still had this one! The red one was a tidy motor, one of my better ones. The white xr4i was my first fast car, part ex-d it for a camaro in the end. Bought the black 4i when I sold my Plymouth a few years back, had some fun with that one! Just bought the estate after selling my oldsmobile, been after one for a long time. I'll have to have a dig about, see if I can find some more pics. Anth
  14. Wish mine was electric orange! Wouldn't go very well with the interior unfortunately.
  15. I've just bought a Mk2 estate and need to fit securon belts to the back - will the reels have to be bolted to the boot floor on one of these?
  16. 2 Capris 1 mk2 Cortina estate 3 Xr4is (inc. a V8) plus one LHD 3 door mk1 Sierra 2 mk1 Escorts 1 mk2 Granada 2.8 1 chopped 2 door mk2 Consul 8 mk2 Escorts 19! Didn't think it'd be anywhere near that many.
  17. Just brought it home this morning. It's at least 18 years since I've driven a mk2 and it was great fun! Love the car, looking forward to playing with it over the winter.
  18. Debate is a very healthy thing - honest I love the interior anyway, and it's really well done and goes nicely with the white exterior. Already bought a few bits and bobs off Ebay to get started on it.
  19. Got the Mk2 home, love it! Needs a bit of sorting here and there but drives fine and looks the part.
  20. Hi there, just joined as I won a Mk2 Escort estate last night (Ste-Claxton on here's car). When I was a kid, way back in the early 1990s, I had a load of classic Fords, from Mk2 Cortinas to XR4is, but mainly Mk2 Escorts, including a few really clean 2 doors. Then I got into Yanks and had a few of those as dailies. Been off the scene for a few years then bought an Oldsmobile Cutlass earlier this year. Unfortunately, due to a new house on the horizon, the Olds has had to go. On the plus side, I've been able to buy this estate and get back into Mk2s. Can't wait to pick it up tomorrow, will post some pics when I get it home. Cheers, Anth.
