  1. We are staying at the Manor. About 2 miles or so from the club apparently
  2. That is a scary thought.
  3. Awesome plan Johnny. I'm looking forward to receiving this mavellous bargainous brakings
  4. Can't imagine that this will change anyones mind. Still a good deal and gonna be a top night methinks
  5. The worry of scaring a lonely doris scenario was our conclusion last night. Bit sad if that is the case. Bit like not asking if a lost child is OK for fear of being called a paedo! It was not dangerous to stop, as the traffic was moving at a snails pace
  6. Nicola was driving my Cappa yersterday and it boiled over in traffic on the M2. It was dark and cold and people were driving past really slow. No members of the public stopped to see if she was alright. A highway patrol car stopped in the end and gave her some water. Honestly.......... would you normally stop to help?? She reckons people are wary of helping girls on there own incase it scares them.
  7. Excellent! Thanks for sorting this out. I'm not going to eat between now and Saturday to make sure I get my moneys worth!
  8. I live in Maidstone, but have never bought a car in Maidstone. My Anglia, Green Cortina and my Capri were all first registered in Maidstone and now live there too. Spooky
  9. I get the XE moaners, 4 door whingers, trick paint grumblers and the it's not even a 1600E brigade all the time. Fook em. My car is our family car and 4 doors are handy. I love 2 door motors and 4 doors too. Both can look great, depending on how you modify them
  10. Can't see why not. Loads of top grub and a few motors. Bonza!
  11. Don't believe me then
  12. Probably an audible warning next Cool idea though Mike
  13. For 2 seats. Not actually put me down. Coz I might get upset
  14. Were we looking at different pictures?? Don't think I'd want to see him doing it for himself anyway
  15. Thanks for the replies guys. I'll try the 350 figure in case thats where i went wrong. I don't think it was the type of oil that was the problem, as the damping was intermittently non-existent on the down stroke. Tried putting more oil in and it alters it but doesn't fix it. I rebuilt my motorbike forks a few years ago and increased the weight of oil to improve the damping. Worked for a while
  16. I have some a pair of new 1600E inserts (not the sealed cartridge type). Anyone know how to fill them correctly with oil/what oil to put in. Had a go with hydraulic oil, but can't get them to damp properly. Don't want to get GAZ ones or anything flash as its just for a standard car
  17. That is the bollox!! Its a '69 Dodge Coronet R/T with super rare dummy side scoops.
  18. I reckon it mainly depends on how fast do you want to go. I've got no problems with trailers if peoples cars are running the numbers. Getting mine home if it breaks might be less of a problem than getting to work the next week with no car.
  19. Cant imagine that the Manta mounts will be of any use. Much easier to chassis mount the engine with a kit from Rally Design or SBD. Manta sump and pick up should be good. I had to make a steel sump for mine though, so would pay you to do some measuring before you buy one. You'll also have to sort out the problem of the dizzy fouling the bulkhead. Lots of options depending on your budget.
  20. Have a go in my XE Tina Cookie before you make any decisions. I'm glad I chose XE. The only downside (if you don't like arguing) is all the tossers who want to slag you for not putting a Ford engine in it. But I'm used to all that as I've got a Chevy in my Ford based truck too. My XE 'only' made 157bhp, but it was only on twin 40's. Still ran 15.0 all day with full interior and no lsd.
  21. Thats been on the cards for ages. We should have gone and chained ourselves to it eco-warrior style!!
  22. Why? Don't you believe me? Just asked my mum and she said no as well
