  1. When is the next one?? Or any other meets in Surrey?? Thanks
  2. Probably more OSFs at this meeting than any other historic event I've been to. The 6 hr race had 102 cars on the grid and was littered with Lotus Cortinas, Gt40s,a few Capris and the odd Escort and Anglia. What an excellent meeting. I think weekend tickets were super cheap too. Get yourself over there next year for to see some awesome racing. As usual, only a couple of crap pics from me as I was pretty busy. The Sadler I ws looking after was winning its race until a tyre problem , aNd the Cooper Monaco I did a bit and came second in class
  3. Happy birthday for Sunday. If we got much later then you could be queen like and have 2 birthdays
  4. I did see the Anglia but didn't see it race. I was working on a Sadler-Chevrolet until Saturday Afternoon, so probably missed it.
  5. That looks the nuts mate. And somehow slightly familiar How's it going dude??
  6. What an excellent weekend! There were a few OSFs there. A lovely 100E, a nice 105E and a superb mk2 Zodiac that I remember. No pictures though as I was too busy (and forgot my camera!). So...... Nicola came along on Sunday and said she saw an OSF T-shirt in the paddock under someones overals. Who was that then????
  7. Happy birthday matey! Whens the party???
  8. How about a really tidy Capri. In your finest black. Loads of MOT and super reliable. A snip at a grand. My girlfriend drove it for a year with no probs at all. Come an get it and spend the extra £500 on pimp daddy wheels or whatever floats ya boat
  9. I buy classic bike every month, and they consider K reg blades, and ducati 916s to be classics, so if they are then yours is for sure. Is that H1 or H2? I had a jap import H1 on a F plate. I'm kinda gutted as that the only bike I owned that I havent got a picture of Its a very late H1 and I've put the H2 swing arm on as its much prettier
  10. wiggly wink
  11. Thats my jap toy. I wouldn't consider a '89 car to be a classic, but most people seem to accept bikes as classic at a much younger age
  12. It's deffo exhaust fumes and not fuel, so don't think it's breather. Pipe is clear of the back bumper. Might try extending it a bit but might look cak. As for seals, I just made some up out of lengths of black sponge. They're not bad, but seem to have made no real difference. There was a 15mm gap at the top before i fitted them
  13. Does anybody with a van (Anglia/Escort) have problems with fumes getting into the cab?? The green van gets really fumey very quickly when travelling along. I thought it was coming in through the back doors, so I fitted some better rubbers but its still no good. Might be coming through the rear floor, but just hoped someone would have had a similar problem??
  14. Thanks for the other info too guys. And Ian, I have put a thread up on buysell and they have been helpful too
  15. Hi. It is you that I was trying to find! I remember hearing you talk about Taunus' before and thought you could be in the know. I spoke to you briefly about your can at CF show last year. I went to look at a Lotus Cortina in a yard and decided I didn't want it, but a few cars along was this OSI. I only had a brief look at it as it only hit me on the way home that I really want it! It looked like it wazs pretty much all there. Fairly rotten, but I'm used to that!!! I'm told that it was driving around his yard about a year ago, but I'm thinking that an engine swap would be in order as everything I've read says how slow they are. It is LHD. Thanks for your info and any more - particularly any that you have seen for sale would be most appreciated. This one is up for 2750, but does need complete resto
  16. Woohoo. Still full up now. Happy Birthday!!
  17. When I used to go out round Chatham when I was a teenager, if ever there was any trouble it was always down to the squaddies turning up and kicking people in and smashing stuff up for fun. Whilst I appreciate the work they do for the country, perhaps some of their bad press is due their own behaviour. Although one injured guy on his own being refused a room does seem to be totally out of order
  18. You sure?? Should have sounded pants. Only have a 90 bhp v6 in I think I've never seen one before. Deffo an OSI?? Not an ISO? Bit of a dyslexics ngihtarme
  19. I have found one of these for sale. I think its lovely. It looks like a proper exotic Italian sports car, but its based on a Taunus. I believe there are a few kicking around Europe still. I'm trying to find out the value of them to decide if I should get it or not. It needs loads of work and is quite expensive, but if it's worth loads done then I could justify it. I think Can anybody help??
  20. Cortinas...... are alright in my book! Nice pics of probably the finest selection of Cortinas in the world. Nice one Ratman
  21. Appliance I reckon. Think Cragars only came as 5 stud 5 spoke
