Cheers for the comments.
As for the ride quality I think its fine - although maybe i've just grown use to it!
Obviously speed bumps and large pot holes need to be taken with care, but the car is fairly long and that helps to avoid the "choppy" ride that many shorter wheel base cars can suffer from. Also the tyres are 205x60's which may have been considered "low profile" back in the 70's or early 80's but when compared to todays rubber bands make for a nice smooth ride. It is a bit of a toy and therefore I can put up with it not being practical all the time but that said it has been used on some fairly lengthy journeys ie. North Wales, Cotswolds and Le Mans and it was perfectly comfortable.
I never intended the car to be as low as it is - that was due to me being too clever at the time - but I like the look and although it is probally not the optimum ride height it has never felt wrong.
It does rub on full lock but that is about it, I have been in cars that have suffered at lot worse due to oversized rims.
