  1. I will be going - all being well as bromley is always jinxed for me.
  2. Thought this might turn into another story like "Docs Capri" for sale / not for sale / did not sell / sold. Was a shame he had to part with his. would have been a real shame for this one to go before its time. I look forward to reading about how it progresses.
  3. Since posting the pics I have tried to sort ot the front bumper a bit. It has been bothering me for a bit but after i posted the pics I realised just how wrong it was. I think it is better although still not right I have taken notice of other Mk2's recently and it seems very few look right.
  4. Is this place easy enough to find?
  5. I am looking forward to seeing this as I keep thinking about putting a cage in mine. Will it have diagonals?
  6. Sweet looking car. I love the colour!
  7. I will try to make this one.
  8. Just like new! That is just great
  9. Cheers for the comments. As for the ride quality I think its fine - although maybe i've just grown use to it! Obviously speed bumps and large pot holes need to be taken with care, but the car is fairly long and that helps to avoid the "choppy" ride that many shorter wheel base cars can suffer from. Also the tyres are 205x60's which may have been considered "low profile" back in the 70's or early 80's but when compared to todays rubber bands make for a nice smooth ride. It is a bit of a toy and therefore I can put up with it not being practical all the time but that said it has been used on some fairly lengthy journeys ie. North Wales, Cotswolds and Le Mans and it was perfectly comfortable. I never intended the car to be as low as it is - that was due to me being too clever at the time - but I like the look and although it is probally not the optimum ride height it has never felt wrong. It does rub on full lock but that is about it, I have been in cars that have suffered at lot worse due to oversized rims.
  10. Very nice. A ghia without the chrome / plastic side stripes, cant be too many like that!
  11. Great picture that is one gorgeous car
  12. I took a few pics of the car over the weekend. '76 Mk2 Capri Lowered with image wheels Pinto on 45's
  13. They had the Napier running at an Auto Italia event a couple of years ago it was a real monster stoped everyone in their tracks!

  15. Welcome! It's good to have yet another Capri on here and a MKII at that!
  16. Well the Mk2 is the one I prefer as it is the car I grew up with and the one that I own. Its suits me that they are a bit rarer as I like the idea of having something a bit diff. The mk2 was from an age that was for a long time associated with being tacky, the mk1 was associated with the 60's which was ok and the mk3 the 80's. The world would be boring if we all liked the same thing - so the fact that poeple dont like Mk2's is a good thing its just that they are wrong!
  17. Doesn't seem to be working for me. I just get a message about Apache or somehi like that
  18. Good to see so many cars on the road. Agreat turn out and day
  19. People use to tell me the capri looked like the marina "hatch" and that the often got them mixed up!
  20. Good Mag. Great Issue!
