She doesn't have to pay the excess up front, they deduct it from the amount they pay her. If she's intending to make a claim, make sure it's reported to the police and raise the claim now. To leave it and raise it later may have the insurers asking awkward questions about why. Spot on

Kinda the response I was expecting Copey, I know that I am in the minority, but at least im not on my own, Timbo there are still some tickets on Ebay but they aren't that cheap

Yeh I know, its not cool, however I love Country music (not Country and Western) is there anyone else out there, just booked tickets to see Brad Paisley at Shepherds Bush Empire in June. This guy has played for President Obama at the White House and can fill 90'000+ stadiums. He will be playing for around 200 people over here and I have got one of the tickets. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aGDXCEhcnDg Yeee Hawwww!! Ha Ha

Just got back from seeing it and I thought it was over-hyped and over-long! Kept lookin at my watch waiting for the end Won't be getting it on DVD. Wasn't helped by a hyper active 6yr sitting in front of me, jumping up and down! 3hrs for a film and they take a 6yr old in to watch it

Totally agree with you, really fed up with the cold now! thought that Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) was a complete load of tosh, but I think it is really true! Would love to feel some real heat on me, plus driving through the town seeing some scantily clad girls would be great too

That one is in my local Ford dealers in Maidstone, Haynes. Be a shame to see it go as it is a bit of a local legend, seems like they want to cash in on it , hopefully they have a BIG reserve on it and it won't sell and they have to put it back in the showroom, right next to the all the shiny new stuff

My Fiesta had one at one stage in its life, when the window steams up you can see it, it says 'XR2' there is also another sticker that has been removed and is only visable when the window steams up that reads 'honk if you bonk' There used to be loads of them about, haven't seen one in yonks, used to find them on Metro's and anything with a Turbo in it
-
Was it about 6" in height, in red, with the word Fiesta cut into horizontal slits?? This would have been a accessery from around the late 80's which were quite popular at the time. I think Richard Grant did them???

I kinda feel that you are damned if you do, damned if you don't. Yes some Police take the piss and do things that would wind people up, but sometimes a lot of you don't see the bigger picture. I have on occasions had to drive without sirens and lights on as it has been necessary to do it in order to acheive the goal that I want to achieve. It isn't much good tear assing into town with everything going if there is a street robbery going on, everyone would have gone by the time you get there as you can clearly hear the sirens from miles away. When I am the motorway, occasionally then yes I will exceed the speed limit again without the lights on, however I am exempt from speed limits and I will travel at just over the speed limit (around 80-85mph) as that way you can spot offences that you would not see if you were doing 50-55mph. There are not many people who will use a phone/not wear a seatbelt/be pissed/be disqualified from driving who will pass a Police car whilst on the motorway, SO we have to pass them, that is when I will travel exceeding the speed limit, in order to do this. I have trained to the highest level in the UK that you can do, I hold a Class 1 Advanced driving permit with Tactical Pursuit and Containment, this has been assesed and updated every 2 years and I am able (if I wanted to be, an advanced driving instructor). All of our Police cars are fitted with a downloadable 'black box' this records data from the vehicle and is very sensitive, it can be used to see what speed a vehicle is doing, gear selection, whether lights and siren are on, g forces involved in an accident. This can be accessed by any supervisor at any time they wish just by logging onto a computer. Every car is continually logged on a computer showing where they are at any time. Whenever I pass through a speed camera then the photo of the offence is sent to another department, which is seperate from the Police ino order to remain impartial, then a Notice of Intended Prosecution is produced and the officer driving the car HAS to then justify his speed, not just say, coz I wanted to. You HAVE to be able to show that you were attending a call by printing off the record of that call and then submitting that record or you should have called up about going through the camera at the time that you went through it and had a record created. There are officers that have been unable to prove that they were attending a call or exceeding the speed limit for a valid reason and have had points on their licence. It is not a 'good old boys club' in the Police, there are plenty of people that I have met within the Police who take great pleasure in shafting a copper if it means that they can achieve the next rank/promotion. Hearing members of the public comment on a subject that sometimes they have no knowledge on, IMO deserves a . After all I wouldn't say to a electrician "Nah mate, you want to connect the red wire to the blue wire"

Went for the camera above, now I need to get into photoshop

Cheers bud! , yeh it has the manual setting and I didn't want to go for a full SLR, thought the price was pretty good too.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but felt that it was appropriate. I to, am getting into the whole photo thing, I have done a bit of research and I think that this is the sort of thing I am after... http://www.cameras.co.uk/reviews/canon- ... 120-is.cfm I can pick one up for £155 on-line, which I think is a good price and within my £150 budget. Any advice on what you photo peeps think, maybe come up with some others for me to have a look at?? Any advice gratefully recieved!!
