1. Absolutely amazing achievement, which is probably not appreciated enough by most people here. Dave set his 13.08 some time in the 1990's and it was an epic 1/4 mile time back in the day. Its taken all these years to be beaten which goes to show how difficult it is to run those sort of times with a fwd xflow. Is anyone aware of a faster n/a fwd Ford ?? Maybe it's time to finish mine, hopefully it'll be competitive. Well done Simon, it's a wonderful achievenent and well deserved too..
2. Pod face here !
3. It was a plain yellow escort, I don't see the need for anyone to put their 'stamp' on it.
4. Not really, I'm near Ashford but was worth the trip.
5.

And some GP bikes

They did a couple of laps through the high street and they didn't hang around either, lol
6. That looks lovely mate
7. I watched that too, I thought it was an excellent programme. My uncle fought in the Falklands so I find it all very interesting.
8. ..and why are they all better at it than us, lol

12. Hi and welcome, this is a good classic Ford site too, glad you found us
13. Hello Emu Its just another 2 litre engine with bits inside that go up and down and round and round so you won't gain a lot. It will end up costing you something to install and will be a whole load of work all for little gain. You could just spend that time and money on the pinto you already have and it will deffinately go better
14. Could be a cheap Chinese plug with their name on, worryingly !!
15. As said, a standard NGK will be fine. I'm sure Accuspark don't make plugs, it'll probably just be their name on an NGK anyway !!
16. I've got a focus and a mondeo too, only managed to clean 1 out of 3 though, lol
17. Modern fords have an arrow on the fuel gauge telling you which side the filler is on..
18. I took my bike on the May Day run today down the A21 and there were two lovely Old Skool Fords parked outside the pub, A blue Mk1 Escort and an Anglia. I also saw a new lambo (couldn't tell you what type, they all look the same, lol, and a really old lambo, loads of Ferrari's and a Delorien (not sure of correct spelling ! I found this video on youtube and you can see the OSF's in the background;
19. I'd get one built on the car to the spec you want rather than anything 'off the shelf'..
20. Is it a facet interupter ? They are best fitted nearer the tank than in the engine bay. Apparently they are a pushing pump rather than a pulling pump and also do not like the heat found under the bonnet.
21. Hope to see it out and about soon mate
