No, I got what you guys said it was worth but, a local bought it. Turned out I had an alloy sump, alloy bell housing and the thick exhaust manifold. Anyway I bought an ST 170 engine today so time to get the bits needed for a conversion!

Well I guess I'll have to accept that a complete engine is worth less than I thought. At that price though, im not paying shipping costs. Buyer can arrange that themselves.

I think that's a little too cheap. This engine has lots of new bits and is ready for an install. If it doesn't go here then I can consider an auction site. Then I'll find out what people are willing to pay. Yes delivery to UK isn't cheap.

I've no idea what a good price is. I couldn't find anything similar on any of the old for sale ads on here. Bear in mind this is a complete engine and includes delivery from Northern Ireland. If you could let me know a good price I can adjust the asking price.👍

I wasnt able to post on this thread due to not having enough posts and didn't put price on the original post. Engine had a lot of external work done prior to me buying it so looks in great condition. Made 88bhp on a rolling road a few weeks ago. Delivered price to UK will be £1300 ONO.

I got this from Scotland. Think it had been garaged for a number of years then the fella I bought it from got it spruced up and ready for the road!

Hi guys, im going to be pulling the 2litre 1983 capri pinto from my mk 1 soon. Its got a new sump, new plugs, new leads, new pipes and belts and will come complete. Loom, Bell housing for type 9, flywheel, clutch mounts, k&n filter, 4 branch heat wrapped ashley manifold, the whole lot. This will be to make room for a new engine. Im based in northern Ireland but have a company who will deliver the engine anywhere in the UK. £1300 ono Anyone interested?

I plan to tidy up the interior a little bit then do an engine upgrade. Planning a ST 170 swap so looking into what I need at the minute. After that few wee bits of paint work to fix up then just enjoy it!

So I'll put up what I know about this then what I am thinking of doing and if you guys can help in any way with suggestions then I'd be grateful. Body. Its a 1974 1100 wing the bubble arches added and painted orange with the black Mexico stripes. Engine. 2.0 pinto from a capri. I dont know if its a 205 or not. Got a K+N filter on the carbs, Ashley manifold which is heat wrapped and a full ashley system. This is mated to a type 9 'box and cooling is provided by an alloy radiator. Got an alloy fuel tank in the boot and anchors are provided by a wilwood disc conversion all round. Fronts are drilled and grooved. Interior. Pretty basic with only 2 corbeau buckets and like harnesses. Real is sectioned off with metal so no seats and no sound proofing! Git a flocked dash with a bit of an array of different switches and I think the light switch needs reconditioned as its not working properly. Sometime 1 light comes on, sometimes both, sometimes none. Need this check. No ignition as the engine is on an immobiliser so I've got a push button start mounted above the rear view mirror. I plan to get the electrics sorted first followed by a LSD in the rear axle. This will then get pushed along by a ST 170 engine conversion. This is where I'd like most advice on best bits to use, and do's or don'ts and best companies to use. Thanks for looking. G.
