  9. Steve Your too kind, really mate. It does have many many faults, but its never stood still long enough for me to sort them
  10. That is what my escRot aspires to be Lets do the check list... Best wheels - Check Great colour - Check Mint condition - Check Oldskool power - Check 40's soundtrack - Check Im struggling to see why you don't drive it more often Very, very nice car mate.
  11. The escRot is my daily, but honestly, its in better nick now than when I got my hands on it 3 and a half years ago. However, I know theres an awful lot more I could and should do to look after it, but I enjoy driving it so much that a jetwashing underneath, a proper wash and polish once a week seems to do the trick If you not happy with the capri, have a good think, make a list of jobs, if the list seems unmanagable, maybe then you've got a tough decision to make.
  12. i know what you mean, it is a little bit strange, but maybe its the perfect excuse to have a half day Friday? It is a good show though, I'd travel to it (not that I have to )
  13. Yours got loads of pics last time
  14. i really, really wanted to attend this this weekend. But Im working Sat-Sun-Mon nights and I can't get out of it, looks like it'll have to be next time Take plenty of pics and vids, Im interested to hear what some of the more experienced drag racers think of York....
  15. BUMP!!1! Its only this Friday
  16. I didn't realise it was up for flog, lol after you'd spent a year planning the manual conversion too. But, as they say, onward and upwards. I always liked your Capri and it'll be nice to see it again What you up to this Friday? Theres a nice little show on in Wakefield if you fancy it
  17. This months pics and write-up are here
  18. Its soon back round to that time o' month for a the Yorkshire meet. We have had another amazing turnout, some very tasty metal and a couple of faces I've not seen for a while. I got there at around 3ish, and there was already quite a gathering. Lets get on with the pics shall we... Did someone order a cab... Clean capri Porkies Mmm, Turbo. I'm liking the subtle pearl on the wheels Love this, looks so hard on those rims Sounded like thunder too Show winning cleanliness First time Ive seen this Golf, sorry I didn't get chance to natter to the owner :-[ Keeping the beer cool Super-quick Nova eyeing up the competition Kee-mobile back on the road Luxo-barge... ...or Capri engine doner? I wonder if it has pollen filters Pop-top fun Business end of the Turbo Kee and StealthStylz pass the time Same job, different era Twin-carbed goodness, sounded glorious A quick look around Very apt plate Stealthstylz battlebus John made the huge trek across. After a stop in Anglesey and Wales escRot and Ovlov The clean capri again And a bit of an overview, how long before we need a bigger carpark I wonder... I've had an ace time, not many better way to spend a Sunday afternoon, than with mates talking cars in the sun. Looking forward to next month, and also looking for to the Thornes Park show next friday.
  19. Here you go tony, Crofton Arms, Doncaster Road, Crofton, Wakefield, West Yorkshire, WF4 1RP hopefully see you there.
  20. When the escRot got VOR'd by VOSA back in december, the young lad that was left to inspect the car was insistant that the exhaust would not pass and MOT, much, much too loud apparently. As I said to him at the time, if you can find me a totally standard mk1 escort, running a NOS exhaust then I will concede and change it. Needless to say, the exhaust stayed, it passed an MOT and has since been changed for something a little quieter for my sanity
  21. BUMP FOR NEXT FRIDAY!! If anyone is interested, we are meeting an hour before at the Redbeck motel and driving down together. So thats Next Friday 4pm at Redbeck Motel Im not sure on numbers so there might be 20cars driving down, or it might end up being a couple of us, either way the show is always good
  22. BUMP. its this Sunday folks
  23. Very much alive and kicking is this meet. Spot on with the date aswell
  24. Every chance its me, I certainly get about. Did the one you saw have black wheels? Like this...
