im pretty sure you can turn up and race what you want, you bring it, you race it!!! you see cars all the time with lights removed and the like so i see no problem. as for towing. again, i cant see any problem with all four wheels touching the ground, as long as you have the lights and plate thing that goes across the back then it should be ok. like the thing that KJ uses.

what are the lightest alloys available? revos? minilites? or are there others?

cool. if i come to the ace ill bring along a bit of kit we have at work. tells you exactly what your battery and alternator is doing.

but when you had the short it may have damaged the battery, not quite sure how tho. have you tried wacking a new battery on? whip the alternator off and get that checked too!

my little 1300L used to get the light flickering on on tickover, was still running a dynamo tho. sounds like its got a charging problem colin. is the battery new? is the water topped up in the battery? is there something that could be draining it? like a clock? it could be that your engine is just running off the alternator and the battery isnt charging.
