my rims are 16 inch st 24 mondeo with 205 45 toyo proxy t1s tyres i plan to fit 15 inch mondeo steels with a bit of side wall i also give into the fact that 40 year old buggy springs wont do so i plan to fit coilover s and a ladder bar set up with a panhard rod has anyone got iny info or pics using this set up thenks for the replys

my 105e anglia with nissan 200 engine and box last year did 13.8 104mph at crail with 215 rwhp'. over the winter, i've fitted a t34 from an escort cossie, bigger injectors and afm. it feels more powerful but i'm loosing first gear just after launch, second not much better with traction loss still in second. i've got 3.77 diff original leafs with milton gaz telescopic shocks backed right off. i've adapted mk1 escort anti tramp bars to the bottom of the axle locating beside the front sping mount. the car squats no problem, just think it might do this too easy as there's a deep mark where the diff flange is hitting the tunnel. this distance is 3 inches. my terminal speed is up to 108mph but et is a best 14.3!!! i'm going to fit a 3.54 this week. can anyone give me some suggestions, i don't really want to go 4 link for now, but i'm sure steve greens old mk1 cortina used to run leaf springs and ladder bars. has anyone else found this problem with turbo cars? i owe my car a better time slip!!!!! HELP

Over the winter i have been in the lock up making some changes to the car : bigger turbo bigger injectors intercoooler etc... At the weekend i had it at crail but at the minute it is a bit over powered and i couldnt get the power down, managed a 14.33 at 108mph Here are pics, video to follow against a supra heres the video , its about 3/4 down the track before i eventually get grip and pull away... hope you like! jim

thanks for the replys my thinking was same as rusty pups but a my mate says i should have shorter gearing as drag racing is all about the first 60foot just wondering if anyone else agrees and has figures to convince me

my mate gary used to own a cossied mk 2 escort it was featured in fast car years many moons ago it made 420 bhp at the rear wheels at well lane rolling road in the feature that car was real quick i think it was built for drag racing and had run in the 13 s it was white though it had x pack arches and revolutions would like to know if anyone has any pics of this or its whereabouts now ?

thanks for the replys guys im hoping to up the power for this year last time it made 215 at the wheels so im thinking if ive got more power imay be through the gears quicker also some people think turbo cars prefer taller gearing just like to hear some more thoughts on this thanks jim

does anyone have any ideas or experience of best back axle ratio for drag racing ? im currently using an anglia axle with escort 377 diff with 16 inch 205/45 toyo proxi tyres . best time on my last outing was 13.8 at 104 . was in 4th gear crossing the line at just over 6000 rpm . i was launching the car at about 3000 max & i was short shifting under 7000 rpm. any help would be much apreciated .
