  1. Sorry Mike,I've only borrowed the wheels and will have to give them back.......one day. Besides, you've had two sets of wheels off me already and the van, what more do you want???
  2. It's just a single box and now you've told me it's better at the back then that's where it's going.......if I haven't ripped it of by then of course.
  3. God knows what it is!!! Some home brewed single silencer jobbie, just needs the silencer moving to the back I reckon. Having read various things on the internet about Peter Lloyd I wouldn't touch 'em with a barge pole.
  4. Do you really think so??? They're only 7 x 13"s, I must be used to them I guess because I'm thinking about fitting 8's or maybe even 9's. Too much???
  5. Thanks for all the positive replies. They've given me a real boost for the rest of the project. Cheers everybody,
  6. It's just a pair of struts mate. No brake discs, calipers or hubs.
  7. XOO 349F is still doing the show circuit but don't know about the others.I think I read that some went to South Africa or Australia, not really sure.
  8. Yeah,I know.It's a stupid silencer in a stupid place,it will be moved or replaced...probably.
  9. To drive to at least one car show next year without breaking down.
  10. Got any pics as I don't even know what a Huntsman Estate looks like.
  11. It was lower but I couldn't get it off my drive so I had to raise it up another 15mm.
  12. Here's the only pic I could find of the engine bay of XOO 349F fitted with the later Twin Cam rather than the earlier FVA.
  13. XOO 344F was definately an Alan Mann racer as was XOO 346F. This is the only pic I could find and it's only in B+W but it's still freakin cool.
  14. Here's a link to Neil Fletcher Racing which has a few more pics including ones of the original FVA engine and the later Twin Cam that was fitted to XOO 349F http://www.neilfletcherracing.co.uk/escorts.htm
  15. Here's a real one from Stanford Hall a couple of years ago. And here it is being driven.
  16. After a whole year without booze there is only one drink for you because you know what they say,"ABSINTHE makes the heart grow fonder." I'll get me coat.
  17. I wasn't 100% sure on the way it was goiing but your comments have cheered me up and I guess I'm on the right track.Cheers everybody
  18. I managed to fit my new front struts,3" lowering blocks and some 7 x 13 Compomotives and take a couple of snaps, waddyathink??? If anybody wants to change the colour to the same as Mikes van but with a metallic black roof to match the wheels it would be appreciated.
  19. Lovely looking lump you've got there.....and it's green so the environmentalists can't maon at you when you leave them at the lights.
  20. Get those steelies banded to 7" and put your stickers on the side windows then if you don't like them after a few months you won't ruin your bodywork taking them off. Nice car by the way.
  21. Cheers johnnyh. I don't need it but I'm still going to grab a copy, you never know when it might come in handy. Happy Cristmas and a very Merry New Year.
  22. Then there was a Mk2 Capri I had for a year, fitted with 7 x 13" Minilites and a Rover V8,fabulous car and when the MOT ran out I swapped it for a 2.8 Capri which turned out to be a pile of junk.
  23. I had a fire damaged Mk1 Escort estate,turretted,anti-tramped,roll cage,Capri front struts etc and instead of repairing it I gave it away.I even had new inner wings for it.If only I'ld known.
  24. Congratulations Mr Jubfab,Mrs Jubfab and little baby Jubfab, you must be over the moon.
