cool, i think ill swap the pepperpot tyres over to the ghia wheels when my extraordinarily slippy tyres wear out on the back! I think the tyres i got (part worn) are actually the same age as the car! They are goodyear gt90s and i checked my original spae and the tread is almost identical - goodyear gt70's! I dread to think what it'd be like with them on the front!!

Could i squeeze 205's on my Cortina ghia alloys?

So, retarding your ignition is a way in which you can run unleaded in a leaded engine? If so, how come? surely you'd lose loads of power and also i dont see how it'd help as isnt the lead a lubricant for valve seats? Does retarding the ignition merely get rid of pinking? and if so how? question time! Cheers

will lots of tiny cracks in a tyre wall fail? also the rear anti rollbar on one side a washer appears lose but the nut that secures it is tight. is this a fail?

No not at all, i couldnt get the horn to work off the stalk at all on mine so i wired up a doorbell and just put it on the centre console!

Same way you primered it! Just keep the can at the same angle and spray smoothly. I think very fine grit wet n dry between coats keeps it smooth. I was wondering how you'd get to the middle smoothly though, you might need to stand on a chair or something!
