Speakers sound better with some sort of box behind them - i had a 6x9 in my house hooked it up to a stereo to test it and it sounded shit, i was well dissapointed, until i put it into my upside down hard hat from work and it sounded 100 times better! think you should mount them with some sort of 'space' behind like a small makesift box or something - maybe outta balsa wood so it aint heavy!!

A good friend of mine put one in his Capri a couple of years ago and its not finished as he is frequently unwell and has an extremely demanding job. His enthusiasm has waned but i know he absolutely loves it like - i was wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a few parts for him - one thing - they MUST be cheap!! He needs a waterpump as the bearings are gone its a 1980 ish engine and the pump has two small pipes coming off at about 10 oclock (if you know what i mean!) and a pulley on the front (aparently they changed this about a bit) Its out of a thunderbird. also needs a starter solanoid its one of the ones that is separate from the starter as it keeps sticking on Also some advise - how strong is the standard 2.0s capri axel and diff? IE will it take the v8 or will he have to get a 3.0 or 2.8 one? Its all hooked up now but he just thinks itll probably blow up. Thats it for now i think. Need to get him perked up and enthusiastic again! Cheers people, any advise will suffice!

That orage is well nice specially with the black wheels I had stripes on my Capri for a while off cetr though - looked hard as nails! your matt black would look good with a thick stripe down the centre in gloss black i reckons

You shouldnt need to take the wing off for that just chop it out and get a plate welded in, thats what id do! The wings are annoying coz tghey're welded on not bolted so they're a pain to remove and replace

And maybe a spare clutch ratchet and an extra arm....

Well, sanded my bonnet down today (rusted already with the rain!) just gotta wait till the weather is nice and im gonna spray it! Cant wait, got a can of primer and a can of matt black just waitin on my back seat! Any advice from fellow matt blackers before i begin? Thats a good idea but makes me feel kinda sick thinking bout it! Ive got a very good imagination so i can almost feel my fingers being sliced, id forget id glued them there!

Could you change the wings yourself and then find a good paint sprayer? Save you money i'd expect - Im going to be doing the wings on mine at some point in the future shame theyre spot welded though and not bolted on
