  1. One of the escorts that inspired me to build mine, A true legend of a car. Gutted for all involved with this cars evolution through the years. Sean
  2. i had a similar problem on my pinto. i gather youre running an electric fuel pump?? make sure your pump is well insulated on rubber mounts as they can create a frequency that fools the electronic ignition into firing all over the place. A good way to check is to pull off the king lead and then switch on ign then pump. if the kiing lead sparks before you crank the car then u have a fault. good luck as it took me ages to sort mine.
  3. to this [/i]
  4. carefull mate , soap can clog the suede and ruin the wheel, use a dry foam cleaner, look on ebay for Brisk Vif Auto, its a trade cleaner and is fantastic.

  17. After the bad luck this time last year trying to get it ready for CF08 and ruining my engine i lost complete drive to do any work on it. 2 months ago the enthusiasm returned so it finally looks like i'm going to be able to run it down the strip . A Big Thanks to all that helped in their own ways. and i hope to see you all there. Here's a few photos for you lot [/img]
  18. i'm hoping to aswell, if i can get it on a rolling road first..
  19. i dont think its possible to use the carbs for the turbo setup. 1 the carbs are used through vaccum and a turbo engine will runpressure when on boost. 2 you would need an air box to connect the carbs up to the turbo and 3 you'll need to comletely change the wiring you'll need to have a cossie ecu and loom and you'll have to have a cossie sump as the rs2000 hasn't got an oil return fotr the turbo.(although you could weld one on.) apart from that its pretty straight forward
  20. Anyone got ny reccomendations on aftermarket wiring kits/looms. go mine up and running but think a new one would be nice.I think i saw an article on them recently but i've had the house upside down looking for it... Thanks Sean
  21. Surley this cant be worth it?? answers on a postcard............................................ http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/916829.htm looks a bit wet too!!!!!
  22. I used to own their old red mk1 pro street with a v6 and westminister axle pulled the v6 out, fitted a chevy 350 small block and sold it .Gutted!!! reg was LYU 424D. it had a cream vinyl roof and cream leather interior and gold perspex windows.. think they gut who had it before me was dave gettard?? Wish i still had it.
  23. stu. that looks fantastic mate ,such a nice stance. keep it up mate wont be long now
  24. took the words out of my mouth. if a mk1 fiesta is a classic ( obviously because its fords first front wheel drive, which is fine by me),then a mk 1 cossy is more deserving of the classic status .it has such a racing history that i cant belive its even being dicussed. what about the rs200 then?
  25. If my car is'nt ready in time(now that the engines in intensive care!!) can i still camp with you lot even though i wont be in a old skool ford ?
