  1. You need to get a Capri....there's no redline on the rev counter.
  2. Got one of those...a 205 injection motor with a Kent FR30 cam and 38DGV doing 97BHP at the wheels but it's going through a litre of oil every 200 miles and smokin like a trooper. Thing is I've got a recon 1.8 short motor in the shed and am trying to work out whether it'd be half decent with the injection head on.
  3. Need some info on the 1.8 Pinto. I'm after BHP and valve sizes please?
  4. All depends on what category it was. You may need to have it inspected and an engineers report done.
  5. Not a lot. I recently picked up one for £30 and I got a 38DGAS with fannymold/K&N for free. THere's loads of them kicking about.
  6. I think polishing is gonna be a waste of time this weekend. Not polishing mine asit'll be black as hell after a 100 mile blat to Scotch. Gonna give it a good wash though and get the commuting grime off. Anyone know if there's a jetwash nearby?
  7. Been to Boggs today to get the Capri set up on the rolling road. Was having a look around and nearly every car in there now has bike carbs on. The thing that was most impressive was a Rover V8 with a bank of 8 in the middle where a Holley 4 barrel previously sat. Old man Dave brought out a 1360 Mini that had two bike carbs fitted. The noise it made and the throttle response it had convinced me on the spot. Chatting about it, they're a bit up on performance on 45's, have far better throttle response and are a hell of a lot cheaper. Also it looks like they're more "everyday user friendly" as well. As for prices.. If you supply your own carbs, they'll refurb them, jet them to a base line setting and supply manifold etc for about £240. Another £100 on top if you don't have your own carbs. Full turnkey solution for a Pinto was £600 inc the dreaded VAT. If you're going to fit them on a Pinto though, you'll need a fuel pressure regulator as they run at a very low pressure - 2 PSI - which is way below what the mechanical fuel pump is set to.
  8. Yeah...in a Capri with a V6 engine in...
  9. I'm sorry but I don't speak "Unemployed." Can you repost that in English?
  10. Any news on binders? Just filled mine.
  11. Would be nice to be able to buy one. Like many, I bought a few issues before I subscribed so I'm now one magazine away from filling the binder and have 4 or 5 months sub to run.
  12. Fnaar Fnaar.
  13. Didn't get any polishing stuff in mine Guess the postie nicked it.
  14. No worries. Just used to my PC magazines coming 7-10 days before the shelf date.
  15. Seeing as it's 3 days from hitting the shelves, shouldn't subscribers have had their copy already or is it just me who hasn't got it? If so, who do I ring to get it?
