  1. Hi guys, i work at a racing transmissions factory and im currently re-designing the shafts and flanges for an english axle. They need to be made as two piece really as it saves ALOT of money on material, to make them one piece of bar would cost as much as in materials as it would to buy quaife ones... It would help me out alot if anybody has any pictures of after market jobbies i could base my design on Who knows, i may even be able to make a small batch to sell if anyones interested. After ive tested mine that is. (they should work as we use the same material on our F1 drive shafts lol) cheers
  2. Looks cool! alot of nice handy work there allimax Just a suggestion though (if your after any lol) maybe you could put some prices up
  3. oh yes
  4. I think there standard equipment on alot of BMW's. Put your foot down and just watch the needle go from 60 mpg to 0
  5. yeah maybe i could buy one of the many you and hippy seem to get through
  6. Just got back from egypt, 10 pence a litre over there maybe we could rent an OSF tanker
  7. maybe there is a reason for that mark lol
  8. Happy birthday
  9. Hmm for pinto's i think the best cam cover is the standard one actualy lol. Dont like the look of those crappy burton ones you can buy at all no offense to anybody that has one just what i think
  10. yeah i think thats what ill do see what it goes like and if i like it ill stick with it, if not il go pinto
  11. Haha i just think twin cam lumps fill out the engine bay and make it look better, just an opinion is all
  12. This i sooo annoying im such a mind changer Basicaly when i first bought my car i didnt really know anything about it, what it was worth or how it even worked. Ive learned soo much while biulding this car (i only bought it when i wa 17). But it has also meant alot of changing ideas. First i got a 1600 x-flow. Then i decided i wanted to go pinto so i sold it and bought a pinto. Then i didnt like the thought of a skinny heavy engine in my bay so i decided to go zetec. now ive got it all fitted and nearly running... and then i went to santa pod and saw the pintos in action Now i cant help but think i should be going for a hot pinto What you guys reckon i should do? Smoke around the zetec for a while and see how i feel about it first? i mean it would be easy enough to change... Opinions please
  13. I know it's hard to believe but if you live around here ALL the fastest cars have pinto based engines in them , they kill everything !!!!!!!! Im sure they do mate i dont disagree im jus saying it would be interesting to see how a zetec compared to a pinto with the same bhp output
  14. mine fits your probaby right to be honest cuz a pinto must have more torque wouldnt mind finding out for deffo tho
  15. Any power figures??
  16. Hmmm ive got a zetec in mine, but i had it for cheap reliable power. Im hoping for 180 bhp from carbs and cams. And i can replace it for 100 quid if i break it andything more than 200bhp and your looking at big bucks to get it from a zetec... I think a H.P.E pinto will definatly be faster but if it breaks your fooked. and there bound to be more jiucy too. doesnt stop me wanting one though
  17. I like the standard ones or... lotus/banded steels
  18. I was gonna rent and then is aw this kit on ebay... Board, Boots and shackles for 200 notes bloody cheap i thought!
  19. I really wanna go next year but have absoluty no clue lol Any tips guys? places to go, what gear to buy etc. Is it really as good as people say it is?
  20. Wernt a small batch of these released a little while ago? whats happening with them now, is anybody making any more? how much are they going for?
  21. you can convert to coilovers on the front from standard struts. On the rear you can up-rate you leaf's and dampers or alternativly... you can weld in turrets into your cars chassis and brackets onto the axle for coilvers on the rear. And yes, they do replace your leaf springs
  22. i bought mine from rally design and thought they were rubbish. the thread was covered in thin, sharp swarf and i had to take them to work and skim about 0.4 mm out the bore jus to get them to fit over the strut i know that retro ford do some that are zinc plated which would probably be better in my opinion
  23. pretty cool though, id buy one looks a bit like an 'english muscle car' like an equivelant to a mustang or a 'vette
  24. ahh that why i cant reach him them lol. cheers paul ill give him a bell when he gets back
