found out why i had a fuel smell - lukily before i hd a REAL problem - the fuel return pipe was just hanging there - fuel pumping out all over my wing - lucky break i spotted it! rolling road will be done soon - i am not ragging it but i am still having fueling issues! there seems to be no fuel in 5th gear - i may need to go to an electric pump as you suggest!

I'm not sure what jets i should buy for my 40's? engine is standard excpt for the head - fr32 and adjustable vernier. im also running trumpets. i failed the MOT on emmissions and it is running very rich. one was 4.5% allowed and i was 7.5% the other thing was 3 times allowed. the exhaust was blowing so i need to sort that too! not bad though for a practiacaly new engine. will ring burtons to order in the morning - but would welcome advice

the rules did change in 1997 but not as strongly as you suggest. Love them or hate them but what is it about them that makes people so mad. we holiday in one most months in the summer. On the motorway and dual carigeways i stick to the national speed limit (70) with no problem (unless its really windy!) the only place i slow down is on roads where my van is probably going to go over the white line just as another van, caravan landrover comes round the corner. the thing that i am wondering about is why roughly every 20 mins someone toots, overtakes supidly, whilst waving the 2 finger salute! My wife and daughter hate it and the dog usually pees herself alover the boot carpet! i pull in regularly when theres mor than 3 cars behind me, but there is always one idiot! what am i doing wrong????

good god man!!!!! I cant believe it! it looked like this when i finnished with it! it cost me £850 to repait all that (via insurance) then i pranged my other capper and traded this one in against the repair! so good to see it like this - well done - and just to thing joanna lumbley sat in that car!

least mine has brakes! who prides themselves on being the best Capri mechanic yet actually managed to run his pads so far down that they fell out on the way to santa pod! oh and did that mean you couln't run deary me what is the world coming to! did you get the folder of pics that came with it. Although i never got the letter in the end one of the first owners it thought to be a movie star! It did have a new wing after argueing with a tractor but to be honnest it needed one anyway (refubed headlamp bowl too). did you get the metal strips and rubber too - or do you plan to flush the kit with fibreglass? the orriginal kit is very hard to get it to fit right, best bet os a proffesional as the will probably need to make addaptions to make it look good!
