    No idea beyond "they fitted what they had to hand" on any given day. I have seen an 1100L with a 6 dial dash (not cut unless an absolute wizard did the work) and NOTHING else Luxury/Sport/Gt about it. I think it was a day they had a shortage of standard dashes and did a batch with better ones to keep production going...... So that day they had a box of curved dials so they made ^^^that^^^.

    Didn't buy a new one but I bought the thickest goopyist heaviest stickiest grease the local Plant supplies shop had, and filled the tail section with a full tube. Refitted the shifter. No more rattles.

    My '97 Estate Ghia. A workhorse. Kept for it's load capacity etc and just maintained/used it's been off the road a wee while now. I've rebuilt the front suspension and need to fix two small rust spots in the sills. Nothing "special" but it's still alive and 28yrs old now. No pics cos it's not allowed here. Too new 😂 😂 😂

    My 1974 project. This is getting a type9/Zetec Rear will be single leafs, atbs, watts linkage combo. Front will get bilsteins. Little inside except soundproofing and seats. 17" steel wheels and very low.

    1972 Estate 1760 Kent, h/d type9, quaife ATB in narrowed axle, banded steels. Rs2000 struts, lowered spring cups, Gaz short inserts, Wilwoods. Standard drums with new everything incl relined drums with high grip linings. 130mph 6dial dash, Springalex, and a line-lock. MR2 recaros. Was even a RetroFord feature. Was Electric Effect Orange it's now in primer/satin black

    Nice collection. Great starting point you have there. One suggestion is the oil. I killed every escort engine I owned until I switched to Valvoline 20/w50. Enjoy

    Lowering the servo is very simple but requires either a new hole in the support or a new hole in the inner wing. It's by far the easier option. I'd not attempt it unless you have your carbs, on the inlet, ready to trial things though.
