If they bolt to the car through the floor get straight Erm I'm sure it's the other way round mate, straight for early cars where the shocks bolt to the bar and angled for late cars where the shocks bolt through the floor Yep. You need to find ordinary steel wheels of a type that fits and get them banded to 7". No ford 7" steels made

We did a deal but it fell through. I think he really didnt know what he had and was afraid to sell it in case it was worth millions!!!

This is how I did it, not necessarily how you should do it. If your car had the early tip foward seats from new, there won't be any holes/captive nuts for the later 4bolt sliding subframes. My guess is that Ford hadn't even though about them in 1971 let alone made holes for them Like I said the other day, I'm pretty sure Mk1 & 2 floors are quite similar. If your Mk2 subframes fit the shape of the floor, drill some holes & use em. Thats what I did. My floor is the same. I used a holesaw on front of seat hinge crossmember to get access for bolts. Used plated bolts and big washers outside(underneath) to spread the load. And paint the holes or they'll rust
