  1. I've got a pair of these ENG247T. They are designed to suit a cossy rear caliper. I bought mine off Darren at Escortec (£18 the pair....less my discount!!!!!!)
  2. In the early 90's I did a 1000 mile trip in one day to France and back stopped only for fuel and toll roads. Arrived at desitination at 3o/c in afternoon....had a 1 1/2 hour meeting and then drove back got home (Wallington ) at about 1.30am having left at about 5am the previous morning.............took me about a week to recover....but in fairness the Metro didn't miss a beat.
  3. thanks for the guidance...best get some of my Anglia build on here now then
  4. hopefully this will work[/img]
  5. Based on Paul's link you need ET6 on the front and ET15 on the rear (Cossy Escort wheels are 8x16 ET25)
  6. WELL DON'T RUSH TO OFFER HELP AS TO HOW YOU DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. ooooooooooooooooooooh how do you post piccys on here?????
  8. Took a photo of this one near me.....nice car with cage and looked like it might have a V8 ........anyone on here??????moto_0295
  9. These should go straight on....there is a blue Cappa in Purley with them fitted...saw it last night parked up...I'll try and get a photo for you
  10. You need to knock....you'll regret it otherwise as the one that got away.... Be polite and honest about you interest in the car and marque. Be genuine and don't rush to give them an offer......wait till they express a desire to get rid and ask what they would anticipate the value to be............................good luck
  11. I don't believe it will happen...there maybe some mileage restrictions but that will be the extent. You need to remember that classic cars are also very much the domain of rich people. Lords , members of parliament and even our future king..........are these people going to allow the removal of their " prides and joys" off the roads....I very much doubt it
  12. Wobble bolts!!!!!! Granny is studs AND 5X112...tt 5X100 THATS NO 2MM Go on to the water pumper VW sites I'm sure someone offers conversion spacers 100~112. If no PM me and I will show you how it can be done and you can commisson a local machineshop to do it for you...safely and correctly
  13. will always depend on the size of the show and how greedy the organisers are I paid £15 at Ravenswood 2 weeks ago....good show took a couple of hundred ££ and the stall money goes to the school for funds Everyone was happy Good Luck
  14. If you are PAYE there's a government scheme to claim all your holiday pay and redundency...as said previously 12 years gives a good benifit. Ask your boss or the liquidators/adminstrator...its your legal entitlement. Takes about 4~6 weeks Good Luck with a replacement job
  15. these will suit Zephyr/Zodiac/Consul hubs. There might be an easy fix but not sure if those hubs will suit Capri/Escort legs
  16. The spacers are not directly accoutable for the change in handling but the theoretical offset they create when fitted...ie you would have the same effect fitting a wheel of 0 offset. Whats probably more important is that you attach the wheels and spacers to the car in a safe manner ...ie have sufficient thread engagement and utilise the correct type of nuts.
  17. if anyone is interested the offset for the 8" rears, based on 5" ineers and 2.5" outers is ET6
  18. Hi Paul ET24 fits a treat with 175/50 tyres.
  19. Was at a short circuit meeting on Sunday and Randall Motorsport had Kirkey seats with covers for £109 each
  20. Regardless of style of wheel you choose you need a 7" wheel with on offset of ET6. Compomotive can make their ML to order to match this. Revolution can make their 4 spoke to match this (though they have no stock at the moment) Superlites will not fit on a lowered car as they are ET-7 and therefore 13mm further outboard of my suggested ET6.
  21. there Compomotive FH Split rims.....sadly they don't make em anymore
  22. Hi Dave Sayers' Cortina wasn't black but Alpine Green...a VERY dark Talbot colour (I think) Yes the V6 ( which was heralded "the car that beat the dyno" in the Street Machine article) was pulled and a Buick 454 V8 fitted. If I remember correctly it wasn't a good move and I don't think it ever ran any faster!!!! The V6 engine was bought by "Animal" (Brian Deveraux) and was going to be fitted into a 100E (TAP252)by GTA but that never happened. I bought the engine and a manual gearbox and fitted it up into another 100E. Parted with that in about 1989 as an unfinshed project. My son bought TAP 252 which we caged and pintoed and eventually sold on. Yes I remember many a night at the Earl Beaty burning out and similar good behaviour As for "Beaker's" yellow van (was originally red) that was converted into a pickup by Gary and very pretty it was too. Not sure of its wearabouts now though I also bougth Gary's grey primered V6 Mk2 Tina which I eventuall broke for the engine and box to put in a 105E but was stoled from my lockup never to be seen again.
  23. compomotive will make their ML in ET6 to order which will be OK.
  24. Hi Whilst some audis are 4x108 the wheels won't go straight on to the hubs as the centrebore on the audi wheels will be 57.1 and you ford will require 63.4mm. An easy mod for a machine shop or wheel refurbisher. All audi wheels are designed for FWD and therefore ET35 or there abouts so you will need in the region of 3/4" (19mm) spacers to fit them. Finally the wheel seatings for the original bolts may well be designed for radius seating so you need to modify thtose for either the typical Ford 60 degree taper or find some radius seated nuts in 12x1.5 (Audi will be 14mm) Would suggest that you may be able to use Honda wheelnuts......................................good luck but not straight forward
  25. Hi Again If you have the 4.5" space you#ll be OK Good luck
