Original South London look was 185/60 13 cause the 175/50 weren't available till the Pirelli P7F in 1984 which is when I bought my first set £80 +vat each if I remember (which I do !!) fitted them to my Revo split rims and put them on my 105e -
Saw this at Crystal Palace last year...in a TVR

I'm with Posse on this ...Builder should have delayed. How about a good coating of strong PVA mix and then floor paint...after you have had the builder back to inspect his work. (he's the professional and he should have at least covered it and suggested that you leave it covered for at least 3~4 days at that time of year) -
Bit of a weird one....Garden Sheds/workshops

Plenty of these on the dreaded Bay. Beware that they cheaper ones have1/2" thick OSB for floors and roof and thats just not man enough But if you replace those with 3/4 " external ply you have a good item. Its normally the floors or roof that deteriorate rather than the walls. Resently bought (for a client) a 8x6 shed for £209 and upgraded floor and roof as above and would say it was as good as the £600 8x6 I bought for earlier client -
Quite a bit of machining which will surely outweigh the cost of the conversion wheelnuts.....what is the issue with using the converting wheelnuts??

Consul is about 6" if not more shorter in the front wings. Straight 6 will nit fit...well it will but the front pulley is in the grill so you would need bulkhead mods or some weird rad install to the side???? Consul gearbox will bolt up to 6 but from memory you need to use the consul clutch and flywheel as the Zeph/Zody flywheel wont fit inside the bellhousing (I did this conversion some 30 years ago and got as far as the rad issue and gave up) No sure about tuning potential of 1703 but the hockey stick exhaust manifold must be able to approved on!! and in fairness in good order these engines are fantastic motorway cars. "Best" option is v6 essex but you will need Zodiac mk4 sump and pickup pipe and front timing cover. Auto box is easiest . Juat weld the redundant clutchpedal to the break or remove. 375 front discs are enough to stop the car with the engine swap. Rear axle is ok for a standard v6 even with spirited use and burnouts but you will need to convert to MK3 Zeph/Zody diff which bolts straight in and fits the Csul half shafts but gets rid of the weak u bolts that connect the prop on the original Consul. From memory the Zody auto diff was ideal. Original Cosul rad in good order is man enough. Good Luck With Project -
Not so..FROM EXPERIANCE there is truth in the statement that painted wheelnut seatings can cause issue BUT they appear to have known that and therefore they should have addressed that issue when they did the work. I do agree that it appears that the wheelnuts on that wheel appear to have not been tightened correctly

Hi Having worked in the alloy wheel industry for nearly 25 years there is truth in what they stated re painted wheelnut seat areas BUT they took the wheels off so any deterioration would have been either noted and cleaned off (or should have been) or the paint /powdercoat would have come away with the nut. Either way they are the experts (!!!) and therefore they should have ensured that the wheels were safe to be remounted....afterall they have subsequently advised you that there can be a potentail danger so they were aware of the risk. Sounds too much like the wheelnuts were only run onto the threads and not torqued up. When the car was driven and brakes applied was there no vibration to warn the driver that something was amiss??

As above but I think the Compo ML will only go to ET6...but that should be good enough using a 175/50 tyre

Got tugged back in the day in a totally stipped out v6 Mk2 Cortina. Back light wasn't working. Cop was real good about it ...said he'd help me fix it. "Thats handy" I said "as there is no spring to keep the boot lid up" A bit shocked he obliged. Whilst I changed the bulb his eyes wandered around the boot area.......then he realised he could see all the way through to the front of the car and was infact seeing the back of my bucket seats....." wheres all the interior gone?"......."OOOOOh thats all far to heavy ....less weight more speed" I replied. He chuckled and let me on my way.......quality.
