  1. or facing the wrong direction looking like a plonker PMSL funny stuff, i had no interior in mine and nothing weighing the back down atall, cheapo P/W's on the back and a wet roundabout, if i gave it good speed round a roundabout and touched the throttle it would be fun just trying to keep the thing straight! if i dropped the clutch in the wet and gave it some beans, it would be sideways all the way through 3rd gear on a straight road! oh and one last thing, fair play to anyone out there that does this, its good fun, i even got pulled over by police once on an industrial estate late at night, he saw me drifting, and he loved it so he let me carry on this is what owning an OSF is all about
  2. also, i used to know a few banger racers, and they wouldnt be ashamed to go out and have a mk2 granada, mk3/4/5 tina, or capri away so if any of these go missing arena essex is your first stop if its not too far. tbh im suprised there hasnt been more mk2 grannies in the essex area reported... i had a mk2 golf nicked, went up there and found it bieng raced, couldnt prove it was mine but i knew it was... bastards
  3. ok just thought all 205 blocks were the later unleaded type now im confused lol
  4. brooky capri gathering dust? thats such a waste!
  5. Still worth getting as 205 blocks are getting hard to come by.Plus if you are thinking of tuning it then new pistons would probably be on the cards anyway. or a turbo and im pretty sure that 205 blocks are "Injection blocks" even though they came with a solex carb on the transit i think they are unleaded, which the older heads arent
  6. £450 is very cheap, plus its not the LSD AXLE you get, its just the LSD inside the axle! and the same 3 as above Fast road / drifting combined
  7. check the exle not pointing up as sed above, if its not i would be looking for a raplacement axle mate
  8. i would like the nose down look if it had some meaty back tyres to go with it but theres so much space there it makes the back wheel look lonely bieng so far out of the arch lower it to match the front and get a custom straight through made with no but the backbox and get them to make it sit right up. if your driving it on the road i would say bring the front up an inch
  9. does one of the back wheels look like it sits further forward in the arch than the other? try grabbing the back wheels 1 at a time and pushing them back and forward and see if there any movement
  10. sounds like your axles come off/sheered the locating pin mate and your prop is pissed causing the banging. stop driving it or you will shag your prop and your diff if it is that could be that youve already killed the axle... what car is it and where r u?
  11. you would if it was a RST head with a fuckoff big turbo attached to it you can get these ZVH's producing HUGE power... also it would sort of be an 8V zetec, and i like 8v for low down torque which 16v's just dont seem to have these days. i know you then have to face a bit of turbo lag but would be well worth doing IMO
  12. lol if you read further down that post and click on the other link, watch that scooby at the end!!!!
  13. nice driving that man!!
  14. there are actually engines that are better than xflows people not saying a CVH is but in my opinion cvh is a good engine, reliable and very easy to work on. i wonder has anyone ever got an 1800 5ierra one and put the block under there xr2/xr3 heads? i know i would
  15. lol... this is oldskoolford, we all have rot problems, yet only few people can weld nicely, we need to get together and sort our welding skills out people lol!
  16. me too, i use pub gas the gas is only to push air away from the weld as theres some stuff in the air that causes it not to burn efficiently. my welding has got a long way to go but i do use a nackered old SIP that is really beyond repair lol that is some excellent stuff
  17. lol i love it when you go on youtube and see an old Metal car piss on a EVO or something similar, and you get all these 12yr old replies saying tht is not real or its bullshit, and its not as good as their dads car or whatever lol. some rite saddo's comment on there...
  18. wouldnt mind seeing what people really think of bike carbs, tried and tested on a pinto and xflow, all i know is what iver heard apart from that 1300 nova stock car with the 600 carbs, i saw that fly lol
  19. Nothing... Which is why they are so much more expensive i hear that bike carbs can give good performance whilst retaining some form of economy... its cheaper, and its different! my mates got a 1300 nova SR stock car on CBR600 bike carbs and it fooking flies
  20. fair play andypipe, 171.6bhp out of a 1600 xflow...
  21. this is a capri not an escort
  22. I have always loved cars, especially OSF's, i dont know what i would choose, depends on who it was etc, but i would definatly make it clear that i wasnt happy bieng asked that in the first place!
  23. instead of a supercharged pinto? are you mad? anyway what caused the groove?
  24. well ive certainly learned something from this one! maybe the ARB on a standard escort is already straight? or straighter than a capri one! i have noticed that everyone who has an escort says they dont do nothing, everyone with a capri says they do? surely that means they work on a capri as the capri needs an anti dive kit more than an escort does!
