cold and grey here... did my wheel bearing and tyre pressures then hid inside...

we went past at about 6pm too... saw a big Yank tank leaving... went through the speed trap at 29mph, drove the whole way home within the speed limit... didn't appear to be many cars left in the car park would like to say though that it was Mother's Day so maybe people took their mothers out instead of their cars...

personally i think the paranoia is going a little too far. i drive my OSF every day. i park it on the road as i don't have a garage. i work on an industrial estate next door to a gun shop (where the owner drives a burgundy 4x4) and a car recovery company (that sees all kinds of low life coming and going). if anyone wanted to steal it they get plenty of opportunity (just by following me for a start) i'm not going to stop using my car. for a start i'd have to buy another one and i don't want a modern faceless box i can't believe the spotted part of the forum is closed - this means the thieves are winning. they've stolen part of your enjoyment of your cars. if you're really going to be paranoid why have meets (ace Cafe, Box Hill) - you're creating a car thief's supermarket!! edited to add - we'd best remove all forum stickers from our cars too, so they can't find us online...

alternator is buggered and is boiling the battery. has done it to test battery... anyone have a 45amp alternator for a mk5 Cortina going spare...?

Went to start the Cortina this morning... battery was dead as a dead thing Brought it in to charge it... and there was no acid inside it... not a drop... So where did it go? Car was fine yesterday - did about 30 miles in total, just pottering about... So if anyone finds my acid can I have it back please
