Why not go for an adjustable spring seat kit from Rally Design using 2.25" springs? Then you can set the ride height exactly where you want it. £18.50 a side plus the springs 170lb bout £15 each. You just need to carefully remove the spring platforms from your struts (grinder/cold chisel) and get a friendly local welder to weld the threaded tubes to your struts (cheap job).

Offset or the et of a wheel is the measurement in mm. of the distance between the mounting (hubface) and the centreline of the wheel. This is expressed as a + or - depending on whether the centreline of the wheel is inboard or outboard of the mounting hubface. Radial tyre numbers translate as: example 185/60x13 = tyre is 185mm wide,the height of the sidewall (profile) is 60% of the width and it fits a 13 inch wheel

There was a bit of chat on here a few weeks ago regarding having steel wheels banded. Has anyone actually had this done yet? If so who by and how much and were they done well? It seems to have gone very quiet on the subject......or have I missed something?

Also,while you may not be planning to drive it much in the rain,this is Britain and you can expect it to be far more prone to aqua-planing.

Solid (non-metallic) grey can look a bit uninspiring on its own - but with a suitable contrast colour comes alive.

Grey Cortina this month CF.

Hi,thanks for putting my grey/red stripe Cortina in the mag,Im pleased with the way it came out - worth the wait.

Jon Betts and Matt Howell came and spent a day shooting my car (grey with red stripe 2 door Mk1 Cortina) for a feature months ago after you approached me at the CF show.....but its never appeared in the mag. Does that mean its been dropped or will still appear one day?

Great Cortina you have there...thats a good look! Do you have red rear indicator lenses on your stateside Mk1 Cortinas? If so.Id love a pair for mine! Are they easily obtainable over there?
