  1. Did somebody say whip? I would have a whip round of my own.....
  2. We've all been there! I myself have been bunging the plod in since about 1981.......
  3. You know I bleedin don't!! Not for want of trying eh??
  4. That's ! My avatar is a close up of a hand done t shirt I got in the states years ago.
  5. I just love this Forum! Where else would you find people boasting they have the most filler on their car??
  6. We are still using the Mk2 transits commercially, they are more relyable than the drivers we employ. The other half is taking one of em off to Berlin the day after tomorrow, the same van has been to Milan several times, and at least two of em will be off to Paris in March. I saw off one of the DI engine before Christmas, on the way to Birmingham. We got it in a conversion 2nd hand 10 years ago, and I reckon it was about 20 years old.
  7. That's the irony of it, for some reason Ken seems to have completely missed the fact some commercials are/can be petrol, and if I stuff any petrol engine in one of our Mk2 trannies (some of em already are) they will be cat and fuel management free!!
  8. does this help? Would that explain the 22ft mk2 luton then?? That pics has made my day...THANKYOU, got any more? Loads ta, and some of my older stuff..... Maybe I should put em in the adult section (only topless though)
  9. This looks good to me, what exactly is the non motorway route though? I can't see any attached route... or am I missing something? Is there an age limit on the vehicles? I fancy taking the amby to this, though keeping off the blue lights might be a trial!
  10. Just how big do you think my bum should get to balance out 22ft???
  11. That's right, as far as I know cars will not be included (so far.....) and of course petrol vans of any size, so I feel some nice big V6 and V8s coming one and damn the environment. There is no way even and essex will go through £700 of petrol a week.
  12. does this help? Would that explain the 22ft mk2 luton then??
  13. I think you will find that that is the reason people drive capri's. That massive bonnet is a like a big nob extension. If that's true, what does that make a Mk2 LWB transit then?? Well it's only got a short bonnet, but an awful big backside so errrrmmm, an arse extension? I think you are mixing them up with the Mk1, the Mk2 has plenty of bonnet....... I think you will find that that is the reason people drive capri's. That massive bonnet is a like a big nob extension. So that explains why the men drive them but what about us birds who have Capri's? What are they an extension for in our case? Mine are big enought too mate! But I drive a transit....
  14. I didn't realise there was a lower age limit, I suppose being over 40 has it's attractions! How about being on as a second driver, would that be acceptable?
  15. I overtook a Ferrari in a Mk1 transit on the A40 today I kid you not He was stuck behind some other piece of plastic in the inside lane, I saw a gap and was off! I love it when a plan comes together....
  16. Don't you have classic insurance? Surely that's the cheapest insurance going. Think about it. if you get some plastic 90s thing for 300 quid, you still have to run it. You might as well add the cost of a cheapo car to your corty's insurance and keep the classic on the road.
  17. If you think that's good, imagine the effect when you pull away in an A reg LWB tranny! Big sense of humor failure on the part of the bimmers.....
  18. Really sorry to hear this, was this a personal friend or just a runabout? We had a Mk2 transit luton taken from homebase car park 10 months ago, the police were about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. Hangin's too good for the light fingered b4stards......
  19. I think you will find that that is the reason people drive capri's. That massive bonnet is a like a big nob extension. If that's true, what does that make a Mk2 LWB transit then??
  20. Were the other two females? Peacocks regularly escape from Holland Park in the spring, looking for nest sites, I remember the havoc caused once when two took up residence in a window box of a posh house!
  21. Please tell me that seirra is ironic............
  22. Was a mate yesterday who broke down, also on the M40! His is a 190 Mk5 luton, and it does have a towing eye. When the AA arrived, the patrolman hooked up the winch to under the van, didn't use the towing eye, depite the IFS. So all that about the age of the car and lack of the towing eye is utter cr4p! I think the recovery bloke who wouldn't tow a classic is just a jobsworth who didn't want to do the job in the first place.
