I've sent you a Pm .................. i've been asked to look after some Taxi meters !! And back at you!!!

I am self employed fitting meters and 2 way radios in taxis and have been for ten years. The taxi trade in Dorset has dropped considerably therefore causing me to hold back with certain things. But i have been working in amates garage who keeps the cabs on the road. He is busy because drivers arent buying new cars just keeping old ones going a bit longer. January is always quiet for me so hoping I can survive as self employed. Orders from others dont bode well in my book!!! On the plus side the cortina is going in his workshop for a couple of weeks

My mk 5 tina is in the process of BOB fitment I am hopefully going to transfer the whole loom across although it is a major task!!!! But worth it the ~Ultima was a freebie so got to give it a shot.

Well next week my mates away for a week and left me to run his garage (and answer the phone mainly). My mk5 is going in for lots of evenings of work. Inner and outer sills both sides graft in outer a pillar skins from a scrap shell that I have cut out engine out remove badly welded patches on bulkhead and replace with new metal. New lower front valance and boot floor os repair patch too!!!! Then after xmas look at getting my donor car stripped of its BOB 24V Cosworth and loom and graft it in to the mk5 along with power steering that i picked up from Colin14 on Tuesday!!!!! Should keep me busy for a few hours!!!!!

i believe nuffield motors has one but do not know how good etc.

Group of 7 cars (only 1 osf though mine, the rest more modern) coming up from Poole on the Friday for a long weekend at whittlebury. About 18 people I think.

we stay at whittlebury park golf club , about 5 minutes from silverstone. We are going up on the friday but from the south.

they were made by autoplas but i believe they are like rocking horse s**t now. (depending on what car you want it for)

Trying to get rear inertia belts for my mk5 tina, anyone got any or know what modern belts are suitable as I cant source any aftermarket ones(ie kangol etc) Misses wont come to ford fair with my nephew till they are fitted!!!

Many thanks I convinced him to wait till one is closer or at least have time to go look first(incidentally it didnt reach reserve anyway!!)

Hello all My dad is looking at joing the Old Skool brigade and is looking at this Cortina on ebay does anyone know the history or overall condition of this car as it is quite far from us to go and look at. Also any idea on value.
