I don't know Andrade, but having the same problem with my mk2 consul You tried the owners club as they usually have some new or a idea where to look. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna build some from lengths bought from 'woollies' in market deeping. Good luck on your search. Drove my escort like I stole it an dropped my consul locks off at locksmith to be rebuilt nice n safe then An made a template for the consul dash and ordered my new prop Lots to do, so little time

I like it but keep them real short like 10-20mm

Wow, that sounds like a serious project!!!!!! Sometimes what something is worth can also be worked out by how much money it needs to fix. A resto will never be worth original, an saying parts are worth eBay dollar don't mean they will, especially if they are Damaged due to the elements (rust) £800 doesn't seem wrong for the car although I wouldn't want to rebuild a car 'that bad' myself. Just make sure it's not sentiment of seeing the car often and slowly rot away that's not fueling your buying. Then again mate, you will do what you feel is right for you. If you don't get it, you'll find one better an if you do good luck and I would love to see another build in projects an another osf come from the grasps of the crusher ykt

You would say that Luke lol Price wise, zetecs are up to £120 with low miles, if you build the conversion parts you could do it for MUCH less than buying them. If it goes bang it's just another £120 so you won't be scared to have fun in it, an can upgrade cams, little port and polish, skim the head down an run 45's or bike carbs for reasonable price an get good power Then everything is changeable But as always more fun equals more cash :-/

Funny enough Aden it was a porche I went past too lol, on the a45 towards Peterborough. He had the roof down, a blonde in the passenger seat an was tailing everything so dropped a gear an we gunned it. He wernt impressed when I sat on his bumper for a couple of miles an pulled in as I went past laughing

Totally agree with all of the above but the best for me was laying on my escort, soaking in the sun surrounded by the best cars, racing, autojumble and atmosphere. Even an experienced fitter told me I'd wasted my money. Don't get me wrong the mk1 was fine, I have had 6-7 screen rubbers from them for 3 escorts an none of them fitted in the bottom corners. I would like to see the escort they designed it on, must have been hi abed by a banger boy. In the end I made my own
