Hi MexDan, there might be guys a lot more informed on this site, but on old ford engines there are two things that cause throthing, one is yes water mixing with the oil, i.e. head gasket or cracked head but the norm is it just want's a dam goood engine flush, two areas that get blocked are the breather on the side of the engine and the cap buy a new cap and get the breather washed out petrol or parts wash then do an engine flush, if this does not cure it start looking at water prob.
