I want one!! Where do i get one of those? How much are they??

When our Labrador was a pup, remote controls and mobile phones were a favorite,,,, Funnily enough though, NEVER furniture.... It just takes time and a firm telling off and perhaps a smack every now and again. We tought our dog to leave the remote controls etc,,by catching him with it, shouting NO, loudly, grabbing it off him and then more or less ramming it into his face , whilst still shouting NO! Seemed to get the jist after a couple of weeks...dosn't go near it anymore... Good luck with it.

One or two runs you can nib back with 1200/1500 grit wet and dry wrapped around a block and then mop it with G3 compound, but sorry to say but that wing is fooked!! I think if you try and nib all of those you will go through the paint which will neccessitate re-painting anyway.

Lifes a bitch aint it? Desperately trying to talk myself out of selling the Mexico..... The worst part is in nearly 7 years of ownership, it aint legally been on the road yet, and at this point it is 95% complete and if money allowed would be on the road for the first time this spring... Currently got the house up for sale also, as we are planning to move anyway, and buy somewhere a little cheaper to run/maintain. Cant see a bloody end to it..... Unfortunately, i am in the car sales game, and at the moment it is totally shite....

Anybody else out there who is totally broke or is it just me?? Got paid on Friday just gone, just phoned my telephone banking and i am £2100 overdrawn with a maximum available limit of only £2000 What the fook am i supposed to do until pay-day again.....4 weeks away Paid all my bills, done a weekly shop had a few beers on Saturday night and its all fookin gone, i tell you, all fookin gone!!

If its just dinks and dents you are trying to rectify, and you really hate filler, then you can always get one of the PDR (paintless dent removal) guys to come to your house and lift them out...not cheap though, around £50 per panel......I know some PDR boys who are based in Bedford and they are absolutely amazing, some of the stuff i have seen them remove perfectly, you would swear it was a bodyshop job all day long, and yet they have repaired it using metal 'ding' bars and sucker glue and you would never know the damage was there......

Yep, they are relatively cheap areas, and i do know them well, and i dont thnk they are bad areas at all, just a little too built up for my liking..Camborne and Redruth seem to have merged into one large town now, i suppose there are good and bad areas of a large town wherever you go, although i have never seen anything really rough anywhere in Cornwall. .A nice village location with a couple of nice pubs is all i'm after. I actually despise living in Birmingham now, although i am right on the Southern outskirts. People have said to me 'what about in the winter when its like a ghost-town?', but to be honest, although i live literally 3 miles from the centre of Birmingham, and my local busy high street is 1/2 mile away, i cant actually remember the last time i had any need or desire to venure into town or city centre, I hate it... The Cornish folk have always been very hospitable and helpful whenever i have been and yes, i spend a lot of time down there at all times of the year, summer when its chaos, and even winter when its quite. Nothing beats a walk along the South West coastpath with the dog (not the wife!) on a clear, cold deserted winters day. Many a time we have just jumped in the car, and headed down for a couple of days even in deepest winter, somehow that makes the attraction all the more, no crowds, no traffic jams, no stress, no violence, and no crime really to speak of. It just needs to happen now as its on my mind 24/7. I know its different living there to being an 'emmet' or 'grockle' who goes on holiday once a year and dreams of living there, reality is very different to that i know. The Cornish have to put up with a lot really, long damp Atlantic winters, stupid holidaymakers, and poor national wages and ridiculous house prices, but i suppose if its really what i long for, i have got to go for it, if it dosn't work out then Hey...at least i have given it a go.

Great Mrs Leadfoot, many thanks, i have spotted a lovely looking property in Chacewater village on 'The Terrace', on the rightmove site, just what i am looking for really, (£164,000), although i must admit i do not know Chacewater at all. Seems llike a respectable village though having quickly spoken to the agents...and not far fom the beautiful North Coast ... JUST had a phone call from the agents as well, viewing booked for Sunday.. Whooopp-whoooop, fingers crossed, i can almost taste them pasties...

Cheers, it will be nice to get the Mexico out and about in Cornwall and hopefully meet up with some Cornish OSF'drs. (Thats if i ever get it back from the restorers ) Shouldn't be long now, its having the front end completely rebuilt with NOS inner wings etc...Rest of the car i have restored myself but the front end was a little beyond my capabilities. I have decided that Camborne/Redruth is not really my cup of tea to be honest/ no disrespect to anyone that lives there, it just seems a little too built up for my liking , which is what i am trying to get away from here in Brum....although prices are amongst the cheapest in Cornwall...Have been looking on rightmove and the like, quite like the Looe/Polperro area (know it well) and also on the Lizard peninsula (Lizard village/Porthleven etc), and also around Delabole/Tintagel area. I don't expect (or want) a mansion, but just a nice minimum 2 bedroom cottage type property with a garage preferably for the OSF obviously!! Oh well, keep looking i suppose, but until i get an offer on this place, not much i can do anyway, apart from research. Whats the OSF scene like in deepest/darkest Cornwall?? Be nice to finally start doing some meets after nearly 7 years non roadworthy ownership

To be honest, i'm not fussed how far west i go, i have even been looking in the St Just area, or Pendeen, work is not an issue as such, i am keeping £10,000-£15000 back to live on once we have moved, and as my job is as a quite successful car salesman, i am not worried at all in being able to secure a job at one of the dealers down there. Penzance, Truro, Redruth, all have loads of main dealers....If neccessary, my wife and youngest son will move down, and i will temporarily stay up here in Brum in my current job (live at my mothers during working week), until i can secure something down there. This is the culmination of a 5 year plan, and now that my eldest has secured a Uni placement, we are free to finally do it.....

Quite like Falmouth, seems to have a nice 'Studenty feel', but my god, houses are expensive there

Guys, anyone on here from Cornwall? Just got our house on the market this week, looking to relocate to Cornwall in Spring fingers crossed. I know Cornwall like the back of me hand but house prices are soooo expensive unless you go inland a little. Anyone know any nice areas where prices are still relatively good? Got a budget of around £170,000-£180,000 max. Cant wait......

^^^Its a mk2 fiesta FFS. ^^^ £200-£300 max, its gonna need tyres, probably exhaust, brakes overhauling, full ignition kit replacing, and even if its been dry stored, i bet ya the tin worm has still attacked it, it hasn't moved for 10 years!! Once you rip those wheel arch trim/extensions off, i bet its rotten under there. But hey, its your money, let us know how you get on,

Old 70's Alfas and Lancias's do it for me, stuff like an Alfasud Ti Green Cloverleaf (ooh yes please) or Lancia Delta, but i couldn't live with the rust...OSF's are bad enough!!

Be a good buy if you can get it for around that, will only go up in value in the future, Mk1 fiestas are beginning to rise a little in value, Mk2's i really dont think they are 'cult classics' yet, but maybe in another 10 years time? Who knows?
