Willwood 4 pots with drilled n vented discs...(13'' wheels) , not really impressed with the brakeing performance and seemed a bugger to bleed took many goes to bleed up , Princess 4 pots seemed to work better ......just my opinion .

He may have said fence and i put armco ?? i know he did say it distroyed his tyres ..........He did alot of talking and i was trying to listern and take it all in

I will or better still if i can call in at his workshop get a bit more info .........I wont let him get away , i know he did say that the armco at wimbledon wasnt very forgiving and lost many tyres / wheels to it .......

Paul now that is real old school as im sure when we were younger the MOT's had usually ran out on the wrecks i mean cheap blue ovals we all used to drive ........it was only a £15 fine back then and didnt affect insurance or points on licence etc .......

Just been out in me little van, well went over to where my lad works just outside Oxford and whilst there having a cuppa n a chat in comes this bloke who says can i have a look at your van etc etc well we get chatting (2 n half hours) only to discover he knows his stuff and restores cortinas , anglias , escorts etc etc and has jigs and patterns for just about all the bits that rot on our favourite cars , even complete floor pans he brought in the 60's n 70's and at present is partway through an anglia resto ............he has also done alot of fabrication work on rally and race cars (at Prodrive) even doing alot of the developement work on Robbie Burns world championship scooby also done plenty of work on Colin Mcrea's cars........just out of interest it took 700 man hours to do the body n rollcage mods on a standard shell before engine paint etc ,that was what he liked doing best , .......then he tells me about George Polly and Barry Lee and how he used to race along side them ............he invited me over to his workshop to see his anglia in full circuit race/hot rod spec and fully restored mk1 lotus tina .......i said nah not interested , no i didnt i said yea ill call in .........You never know who youll get talking to whilst out in your old motor ... .........................And the thing is my lad has known him for some time and then says ''yea Dad i know ,i thought i told you about him''....... .........He could be my new bestest (old) friend ..

£7k's a fair price and should sell without all the timewasters that seem to appear , better to get what your happy with than have advertised for months / years at silly price and i can never see why comments like ''too cheap'' get posted especially in the last few years with the financial climate were all in at the moment ,if its too cheap buy it and make a few quid , by the way lovely car

Its like alot of the repro stuff its not original so in most cases wont fit or look the same so if you want Lotus steels id get a set ,( well ive got a few sets at the back of the garage) , so then youll have the real deal

Thats one of the reasons i dont like going to Santa Pod its always seems to be about money i know its a business but there money mad yet go to other places like Skakey n the like and no charge for camping etc ..........just my opinion

I have to say what a good weekend ive had involving old cars , parts and tat ..........So on saturday off i went in me ole Escort van for my annual May Beaulieu Auto jumble , the may 1 not as big as the September 1 but good all the same and as usual brought some tat i mean parts etc and no rain so a grand day .................................................Then today off i go in me little van to Hayling Island the other end of the M27 this time to the Victory Wheelers reuinion , plenty of cars mostly Hot Rods and only a light shower of rain so again all good , total mileage over the 2 days just over 400 all trouble free ...........Most enjoyable....

Why are you lot watching it My mum dont even watch it anymore and shes 75 years old ...............
