Wanted 711m ba 1600 xflow block
caprimk1v4 replied to Paulfosk's topic in OLD SKOOL FORD PARTS WANTED
I have 4 brand new 711M late T22 6015 BA cast blocks bare but complete with matching main bearing carriers, standard bore @80.95mm £500.00 each, but I am in North Wales, and carriage would not be cheap. Regards. -
For sale a full brand new set of 4 (Four), Capri MK1 3000GT Rostyle wheels). Never used, but will require a refresh of the paint as they are +35 years old and are a little bit thin on the paint. Zero rust, no curbing as they have never been on a car or had tyres on, can post if needed, but collection is preferred. Wheels in Wrexham North Wales and are £320.00 for the 4 (Four). Thanks.

Wanted mk2 escort rear quarters and rear panel.
caprimk1v4 replied to bigbadsquare's topic in OLD SKOOL FORD PARTS WANTED
Are you after pattern parts or genuine Ford panels !!??. I have Ford rear quarters and Ford rear panel's, but Ford genuine panels are expensive. Regards. -
Is it Facelift or Pre-facelift, and what do you mean by "The back part of a Capri MK1". I have a couple of MK1's that I am breaking, but need more info. Cheers.

It's not a daft question, but the "T28" is just a casting number for the diff carrier, same as Crossflow blocks have a "T" number on them, the bigger the number the younger it is up to the end of the run of castings produced. My owned from new MK2 1600 Ghia has "T20" cast into the engine block and "T34" cast into the diff carrier, I have 2 axle's in the garage loft that are from a 1600 Ghia and from a 1300 Sport, both have "T28" in the carrier but one is 3.54/1 the other is 3.89/1, both came from 1979 "T" reg cars, the same diff carrier is used on MK1&2 Cortina,MK1&2 Escort, Capri MK1 and MK2 & MK3 Capri 1300's, the MK3 1300 Capri rear axle should have the biggest "T" number, as it was produced after the Escort MK2 had stopped.

I have for sale a new in the box rear diff with a 70EB part number, so I guess Capri MK1 Pre-facelift. It is 3.77/1 ratio, it is mint but was dusty, I have flushed it out by putting it in a bucket full of hydraulic oil, then hung it up to drip for a couple of days. Part of a consignment of parts I bought from a defunct Ford retailer. £325.00 ONO cash, not after a swap for any thing else. Has a large diameter flange with tapped holes for the prop shaft. Cash on collection preferred, but can box up and post with a courier to a UK destination only.

X-Flow Chambered Cylinder Head
caprimk1v4 replied to michael11's topic in OLD SKOOL FORD PARTS WANTED
Hi, If Escort MK1 is unable to help out, I have a bare 1600 chambered head off a 1968 Cortina 1600E, had chambered pistons put back into block and used a flat 711M type head, so will not be using the chambered head again. Regards. -
Ford Capri MK1 Restored Shell For sale.
caprimk1v4 replied to caprimk1v4's topic in OLD SKOOL FORD CARS FOR SALE
Not to impressed with E-Bay, people never do what is put in the listing, the amount of times I have put an item on there and stated "NO OVERSEAS SALES", I will get 20+ messages with "How much to post to Australia", or "Do you post Overseas" etc-etc. Fingers crossed for some interest. NOW SOLD. -
Ford Capri MK1 Restored Shell For sale.
caprimk1v4 replied to caprimk1v4's topic in OLD SKOOL FORD CARS FOR SALE
Hmmmm, not really, it is not a 10 min "fixer upper", and is too good to break !!??, so is a hard one really, non sun-roof, solid chassis, would need sills, front panel/wings and front floors welding, I have seen worse (for more money). The idea was to re-shell with the mint one, but life changes as you get older, I have aged a bit so don't enjoy the spanner work anymore, I just want to polish them and drive them now and again, then go back into the house for my pipe and slippers (and a glass or 10 of port). Fingers crossed I can get somewhere with this. !!!!! -

Fully restored and painted shell for sale, Capri Mk1, has had every panel you can think of replaced with genuine new Ford panels, have tried several times to move on and it never makes what it is worth, so I will try again. Complete shell with all closing panels and it is rolling, but nothing else, the panels alone cost thousands, anyway, if anyone is interested, let me know, I just want to keep one Capri Mk1 and my Escort MK2 and my daily transport, getting too old to be doing this stuff. Looking at £5.5k for the shell, it has over £13k chucked at it. Also have a older MK1 Capri that may be of interest to be sold with it a 1968/9 model on a "G" plate, the shell is a late 1971 early 72 and is mint. Wales located.
