It was a sapphire cosworth shell, it was stripped, were talking to the bone, but stupidly hadnt cut vin numbers out of the floor, it went to a dismantlers to be dispossed of. He then sold it on to someone who wanted to cut the floor out to replace a rotten one? Fair enough, but i asked dvla why would they needed the v5 to do that? Thats when i asked about proof of age, and whether it would be inspected ? I spoke to a team supervisor at dvla yesturday regarding a completely stripped shell i took to be scrapped that someone had applied for the log book of. She knew nothing of the changes people have been talking about. I told her that there was nothing on the shell except the vin number that would relate to that car as it was. She keep saying that if a vehicle has a chassis number and registration number regardless of changes made to it it will always be and retain that number?

I dont mind either, the whoosh , chrip, bang is just more practical and less hassle than a set of carbs that need constant adjustment. If its the noise you want stick some throttle bodies on?
