I think that's to keep the muppets from ringing up asking if they do anodised alloy floor mats. If you're buying a chunk of kit then they'd be daft to turn you away.

 

Might be worth checking out the Ralloy (http://www.ralloy.com) website, I've seen these braces somewhere, maybe the Demon Cheats website.
