Arched Escy Posted March 31, 2007 Report Posted March 31, 2007 The Cizeta had a V16,but the engine in the vid is defo not a car engine!
caprixpack Posted March 31, 2007 Report Posted March 31, 2007 bet his neighboughrs love him, id say it was either a plane or tank engine
V8ian Posted March 31, 2007 Report Posted March 31, 2007 Before you get all excited, pause the film and count the the exhaust ports, its v12, Guessing by the colour its UK MOD, so it could be the Rover Version of the Merlin engine that powered the centurion tank, Different from the merlin as it has no casting to take the single or two stage supercharger, or of course it cound be a vosper variant out of the MGBs, MTBs and RAF rescue boats, and I am fairly sure the Allison V12 was a US merlin variant, oh yes if it is its 27 litres.
Rick Posted March 31, 2007 Author Report Posted March 31, 2007 i thought some of the cylinders were obscured by his box lol didnt think to count same as this one?: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=85jfBxQP4ZI think it woulkd be better with tank tracks on it YOU CAN BUY THESE ENGINES FOR £300 quid lmao
V8ian Posted March 31, 2007 Report Posted March 31, 2007 Probably the same engine, there cant be many people playing with tank engines, the only one I can think of was John Dodds who had the Rollls Royce/Capri lookalike with the so called Merlin, but I think was in fact rover powered,
BIGKEV Posted March 31, 2007 Report Posted March 31, 2007 thats a merlin spitfire engine ready to go into that roller for practical classic mag i think !!
