Guest AllegroLover Posted March 31, 2007 Report Posted March 31, 2007 The admin team have had a meeting and have decided that there is no future in Old Skool Fords and are shifting the focus of the website. We believe that the future lies in under appreciated British Leyland built cars, especially the Allegro. We love everything about it, especially the unique square steering wheels on the early models. They were unreliable in their day, but did have one great ability. To rot. Because they rotted quicker than tangerine left on a radiator they are rare. Mk1 Escort Vans aren't as rare as the series 1 Allegro. We love them. I will be selling my OSF this week and hope to get £4k for it. I've seen a stunning unwelded Allegro on ebay which I hope to buy. And with the remaining £3,995 I'm going to take the family on the holiday of a lifetime. We have seen the light. We hope you do to. OSF Admin team.

over_head_cam Posted April 1, 2007 Report Posted April 1, 2007 I was going to use a 'Busa engine in mine with a reverse diff so I could have 6 gears in reverse. Apparently it's more aerodynamic going backwards
