capri_turbo Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 I've been running on the Megajolt Lite Jnr. system with Ford EDIS4 on my 2.1 Capri for nearly a year now with great results... Just wondering if there are any others doing similar. I know some of you may consider it to be a bit "new skool", but the benefits of the system for me were enormous.
Mk 1 Mark Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 MBE is the nuts and works well on either ignition only or fuel and ignition ECU. Had MBE on my Cortina on my XE with 45`s Using Omex on my new engine with throttle bodies But DTA is also very good and for Cosworth and race cars Motec it the way to go
ZetecVan 2.0 Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 I've got a Megasquirt plus Jenvey TB's so using both spark and fuel. It runs great but I know because I've not had it tuned by an expert, just on the road, remapping as I go, that when I do finally get it rolling roaded, it'll be a flier.
V8ian Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 Emerald M3dk on a really stupid cam, and will tick over at 600rpm
Guest M.Bird DOHC Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 Ive heard its the only way forward, ive been looking into this for my car as standard ECU's have limitations and expense! Mega-squirt looks a good route!
Tom Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 yeah mate got one sitting in the garage, just gotta get the car finished
105Speed Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 Run an Ignition Only Omex on my Zetec, runs very nicely. Really fancy getting into Megajolt though on a pre-crossflow perhaps.
petrolhead01 Posted April 4, 2007 Report Posted April 4, 2007 webber alpha full management and its the tits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! no coughing and spluttering!!!!! highly recomended
capri_turbo Posted April 5, 2007 Author Report Posted April 5, 2007 looks like it's a popular thing then... I must say that the Megajolt and EDIS4 system on mine has been absolutely fantastic as I'm still running a 38DGAS, and at just less than £100 to do the whole lot, it has been excellent value for money... saved that in fuel in under a year.
steve dray Posted April 6, 2007 Report Posted April 6, 2007 What were you using before the megajolt, was it points or standard electronic system? Did it give you a power increase? Been thinkin about this route for my N/A Cossie
