banger racing is like sex... one you have tried it out for yourself and not just watched in on dvds etc your hooked and need to do it as much as possible.... whether in an osf or an old datty or bluebird or even a mondeo for that matter!! (weld the sub frame in and they are the doggies go-nads) its excellent and it should be made an olympic sport.

If you own the car legally then you can do whatever you like with it, if you destroy it then you'll be the one out of pocket longterm.

 

I hate to think how many MK1 & MK2 Escorts get destroyed on the tarmac & forrest stages every year.

 

It's interesting that you can buy a brand new shell for a Triumph TR6 but not for the classic Fords.

There is a slight difference here.... the Rally boys are NOT deliberately setting out to damage their car or anyone elses.

Wish Ford could see the potential of some sort of Heritage Division, I would say mainly driven by Motorsport but so many people would buy the stuff for the road.

 

They could do it aswell... and make money.... but they foolishly believe if we cant get spares anymore then we'll buy new cars.... Errrrr no... if we were the sort of people to buy new cars we would.
