its the way the engine mounts to em. orignal x-member the engine can leap out after a heavy jump where as the wcxm the engine cant go no where how ever big the jump is :twisted:

It also stiffens up the front end as there is significantly less flex in the mounts, effectively making the block itself a strength member between the struts.

 

Down side of this is vibration and noise transmitted into the car.

allthough anything with rubber mounts negates the stiffening!!!

 

the WCXM was devoloped in order to stop the engine mount towers cracking when landing the cars from 20 ft jumps in rugged countries ..

 

if your doing that, then get one

sure he made 1 fit on a standard x member

 

they do fit tim but it will only be a matter of time before the exhaust side engine mount COOKS, ask Big G he found out the hard way too :lol:

 

ive been there done it and got half a dozen t shirts twice :wink:

Sorry mate, mine is a world cup X member, what I achieved (that everybody told me couldn't be done) was to get a 3 piece competition manifold to fit and still retain my servo.

Sorted that one too, I had the manifold cermakrome coated, it reduces radiated heat drastically, you can hold the manifold within 8 to 10 mins of switching it off after a hard drive. I'll see if I can find a pic of it.
