Jay_harrier Posted April 11, 2007 Report Posted April 11, 2007 The other stuff you can use is masonary cleaner from a builders merchants - one of the strongest acids you can buy over the counter. I'm using it as prep for zinc plating. Not sure I want vinegar on my chips anymore

mk2 stu Posted April 11, 2007 Report Posted April 11, 2007 I've used vinegar, white spirit and a little petrol before! great for soaking a pair of webers overnight! Just dont light any cigarettes nearby!
mr squidian Posted April 11, 2007 Report Posted April 11, 2007 so do you reckon some vinegar will bring the inner arches on my mk2 fiesta up like new?
RFChris Posted April 11, 2007 Report Posted April 11, 2007 so do you reckon some vinegar will bring the inner arches on my mk2 fiesta up like new? Only if you can fit them in Sarsons bottle.... I get the impression that total immersion is the key here.
