johnny_h Posted October 2, 2006 Report Posted October 2, 2006 just got the call from the garage that's tuning my escort. when i took it in it was running like a bag of shite and i was expecting them to tell me that the engine was knackered but no! they have cleaned up the blocked jets and messed with the valve clearances and said it's running sweet with 113 bhp at the flywheel! thats more than i was expecting so am well pleased! :)

johnny_h Posted October 2, 2006 Author Report Posted October 2, 2006 Woooooooooooooooooooooooo! Yeah. I drove it home tonight and it was ace. The printout says the compressions for each cylinder were 185, 185, 195 and 200. The haynes manual quotes 187 each.
