Daggle Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 Just sold my missus' house after having it on the market for one day and the house we were going to buy has been snatched from under our noses by another couple, now I have to find somewhere else quickly as the ppl who have bought the g'friends place want to move in asap... All I want is a double garage with workshop and a driveway for 3 cars, its not too much to ask for is it.... (I couldn't give a toss about what the actual house was like)
Slik 50 Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 We moved about 3 years ago and we sold ours first then moved into a rented house untill we found the right house. Because we wasnt in any rush, as to dead lines things were alot more simpler and it put us in a realy good buying position and we waited untill one came along that we wanted. With the cash we made on the last one and the mortgauge offer ready we got a proper bargin on the one we wanted as the vendor wanted a "quick" sale
mk2_escort_chick Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 My bro has just sold his house and is waiting for the owners of his new house to find a retirement home on the coast. When me and dean eventually get a place we're gonna need parking/storage for at least 4 cars!!!! xxxx
Admin Mk2Jo Posted April 17, 2007 Admin Report Posted April 17, 2007 Go to the Estate Agent and make a higher offer on the house you want

ZetecVan 2.0 Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 Go to the Estate Agent and make a higher offer on the house you want We got into a bidding war once. We ended up bidding more than the house was on the market for... then after all that, the vendor decided he didn't want to sell. Glad we didn't buy it though. Nice house, wrong place.

Nice house, wrong place. bad practise on the estate agents behalf to let that happen really, as soon as an offer has been accepted the agent should make sure that is honoured. At the end of the day the agent works for both the buyer and the seller.

Yeh bit annoyed that the estate agent hasn't taken it off the market, but apparantly another couple came in offered the asking price (same as us) but also had the money there ready to go, so the sellers said Ok to them instead of us
Essex Boy Posted April 17, 2007 Report Posted April 17, 2007 You sound like me all i want is somewhere to play with cars i don't give a toss what the house is like I'd be happy buying a plot of land putting two large 8 berth caravans (the ones that need pulling by a fifth wheeled lorry) on a field and putting a fence round it and putting up a timber triple garage Hope you find something soon fella
