MK1 escy lights,im confused!

Can anybody help.i have the lamps for my mk1 escy,also the headlamp bowl and fixing kit,which are from Hadrian,the lamps are Lucas.

 

I was told that the chrome ring that holds the lamp to the bowl were the same size as a Morris Minor,so with this in mind have purchased two ringsfrom ESM spares,but they are too big for the lamps.the hole in them is 7 inches,but they are far too big for the lamp,so could it be the lamps are wrong,or are the rings wrong??

headlamps are supposed to be 7 inches

u got the wrong lamps m8. though the rings do match the bowls dont they? ive got mini halogen conversion lamps in my escort!

Should be 7 inch lights, so I assume there the wrong ones.

they aint to much bigger.couls there be another bit i need to hold them in??

need pics to be honest but u could have 5" lamps? by memory u need backing bowl, carrier, lamp then the chrome bezle

its gonna sound silly but have you got the the large chrome ring ,like on a mini,which is the finishing besel

thats the bit hes saying seems too big

yeh that is the bit ive got,i think i may need the inner bezel i think its called.how many adjuster screws should i have,and how many springs?

2 adjusters one at 12:00 and one at 9:00

 

i have three retaining screws but iv seen variations, these hold chrome to the light backing plate

 

spring holds the backing plate in the bowl at the back

Placeborick can you do me a favour and go onto the ESM website,and tell me the parts numbers off the bits i need.ive already got the bowl and bowl fixing kit from 'Hadrian'.im so confused as to how they are held in

Or has anybody got an old set of headlamps in ok condition i could buy with the bits i need on them?

go down ur local srappy theve got to have an old mini in there to rob the bits off

just get landrover ones 15ish quid per plastic/lighter/rot free bowl with chrome bezel and fitting kit mine are made by Ring LOL!
