When you mix the bits of sand (which gets everywhere) with the oil it turns into Satan's Spunk Sludge...all in the sills...sticks to everything...yuk!

Which is why I prefer chemical dipping. Less stressful on the metal. No medium to hoover up and cheaper. :D "Satan's spunk sludge" lol :lol:

Shotblasting cost me £250, that included the bloke picking it up, bringing it back and primering it... very good price in my opinion. Dipping it is a lot more expensive i think, but I don't have any knowledge on which is better. Although I dislike the aformentioned spunk sludge, I'm prepared to put up with it, as I'd rather spend a little time with a hose gaffa-taped to a hoover sucking up all the sludge than hours and hours sanding the bastard down!
