No, for the simple reason i think some of the best threads on here have arisen from a spur of the moment post, so if things like that were made or said in the chatroom we would'nt all get a good discussion out of it and the forum as a whole will suffer and quieten down

or get msn you can have mass convos on there

why bother whens theres msn already set up? n i agrree - think the novelty would wear off fairly quickly - just arrange a time/date to 'meet up' and chat on msn, that way you can have convos without having to alter this site?

Chat rooms get pants when you get more than half a dozen people in anyways so many people talking at once

 

if mods did want to do it IRC would be the best bet then a webpage with a script that hooked into the irc channel

this is in use on t/s and imo it slows the rest of the site down as you get a lot of the main posters in there chatting and it can get hectic imo.i use it but i think it will slow the rest of the site down.
