chris MK1 Posted June 4, 2007 Report Posted June 4, 2007 Picked up my new little toy up the other day!!!!! she is all good other than needing the front floor plans done. and i know that some of u may not agree but i have the power plant for her too!!!! just if anyone knows it has a 5 speed box in it, but im not sure if its mounted right, its got spacers mounting it lower, there is a pic of it here for all to see and give your opinion on if you dont mind? regards chris

Some people mount them like that by using what ever gearbox mount they can get their hand on and redrilling the floor to suit. It's a bit of a lash up job though as the floor doesn't really have the right strength in that area unless it's reinforced. Using the correct gearbox mount it's possible to tie into the correct anchor points by using extension bars as shown in this photo
